Just keep on buying them. The 220 is my new favorite plane to fly on. I’m hoping they can make a stretch of the -300.

I fly the 220 on AC and it is the best economy class experience (2 seats on one side) by far of any plane in their fleet, the lavs are also the best in the sky for tall people (bigger than some J bathrooms on other carriers)!

And Breeze Airways has already ordered 80 A220. No US airline who haven’t ordered it. Only for Delta, JetBlue, and Breeze Airways. Because they loved it! They likes it very much.

Oops, I should have wrote big three. Why aren't American and United ordering the A220? The A220 is an amazing plane to fly and seems to be efficient for regional operations.

Loud? In the very back, yes but not in the front half and as quiet as it gets in the very front. No, it isn't nostalgia. I like the plane. I don't fly it on routes that are long enough for the IFE and internet to matter to me. I loved the MD-88 and am sorry its gone. For some strange reason, I didn't like the MD-90 as well.

United just made a massive order for Boeing jets, and AA still has a pretty young fleet and lots of debt on the books. Also, in the south at least, AA seems to be running larger planes to multiple hubs when compared to UA/DL.

Kirby also said a couple years ago UA sees no need for a 100-seater, they believe their hubs and route network sets up for bigger aircraft. I believe AA also has a ton of A319s from their US Airways days (given their tight connection with Airbus).

Plus DL more or less saved the A22X program and has continued to be deliver a strong US order book to Airbus while AA and UA have been placing Boeing orders so I suspect DL is getting these A22Xs for a good price

I have been on the A221 a few times out of MCI to SLC, and the restroom was definitely the largest of any narrow body aircraft I have been on. The restroom on the 739 is absolutely the smallest restroom I have ever had the displeasure of using. However, I am not a big fan of the seats in J on the 221, so it would be even worse for me in coach. The 321neo was pleasantly surprising.

The A220 is a very pleasant plane in Y because the seats are 18.6" wide (which more than an inch wider than a 737). It's a bit tight up front because the pitch is only 37" as opposed to 38" on other plane types.
