I have mixed emotions over Ann Coulter. However, I got cheated out of my EC seat a couple of years ago at DTW, because according to the GA "you didn't pay for it", and was reseated in a "window" seat in a row that didn't have a window.

Hahaha Based on the seats she wasn't even in C+!
I can't say I blame her for being upset about an unplanned seat swap but so odd though that she felt the need to take pictures of the person who was in "her" seat, as she seems so sure they created the problem. For all we know there was an equipment sub and seats for shifted around. And a Twitter rant is just over the top....

Why didn't she just stay in her pre-booked seat? I thought that post-Dao, airlines no longer force people out of their seats.
"You need to move to another seat."
"Why?"
"I don't know."
"No."

1.6m is nothing these days.
Cats have more followers.
And since when does having a twatter following mean you have 'influence'?
Stuff happens and she should know that.
This should be on the DYKWIA thread!

Yes I got stuck in 11E on the MD-88 the other day on a last minute ticket. Delta pulled the switch too early and upgraded people to fill the F cabin. BTW, why does row 11 on the MD-88 have tray tables in both the armrest and the seatback? It's unnecessary and takes away seat width.

Set aside your political biases for a moment and try to regard this situation as just another paying passenger who got gobsmacked by some arcane airline policy or fubar misstep.
While I lean conservative, I would side with Bernie Sanders if he were unfairly disadvantaged by an airline.
None of us here are going to get any attention on Twitter if we were to post about a similar experience.
But a nationally syndicated columnist who gets prime time face time (regardless of what you think of her opinions) has a bit more chance of getting management attention and nudging airline customer service closer to sanity.

A lot of wealthy people got that way by being careful with the money they spend.
Perhaps she doesn't visit FT and, thus, does not know all of the tricks to gettng into FC.

Kind of hard to feel sympathy for Coulter following her take on the UAL/Dao incident.

Delta won't lose a penny -- I'd bet that demographic data shows her fans tend to live in areas with lower passport ownership rates and lower per-capita incomes.
