That's much narrower than I thought it would be. That image shows how much width is lost with the doors. Can you say scuffed walls?

And more than a few flight attendants who will have to sidle down the aisle, rather than walk straight on.

Yikes that aisle is tight! I can't imagine boarding with a couple of carry-ons.

On a related note, on days when flights from DTW take off towards the north the Asia flights tend to go directly over my house (Lone Pine and Telegraph area), and I can always tell when a 747 is overhead, because those boys make a lot of racket as they climb out. I'm going to miss the sound of the 747s - another sign I'm getting older (*sigh*)

The aisle is tight, but I think the suites look awesome. I'll be in a suite in January, can't wait!

So it looks like during service or any other activity in D1, pax won't be able to get by another person in the aisle to use the lav or get to the galley for snacks.

Still curious as to how tight that shoulder room is going to be in some of those seats where you're next to the wall and the 'light' that protrudes. No place for your arm in those, as the 'armrest' is the width of a coach seat.

As I have said before.. Delta over-markets their product more than any other airline. Delta One "Suites" lol.... well these are just seats with a very large cumbersome plastic door. What do you need to do on a plane that requires you to have a door for your single seat in Business class when Reverse herringbone and other products provide perfect privacy.

The door is a marketing ploy... It will not enhance the actual product. the door was all about how can Delta make the biggest marketing boom... All the things that would make the seat more comfortable are not important to DL since its harder to market.

ie:
Wider
More Cushioning
More space between seats

Agreed 100%. The way they're marketing a wall all while charging 200% for the same crap in a box is very offputting.

Delta just announced the A350 will also travel from Detroit to Amsterdam from 31st of March. Anybody has an idea which flight number? Currently shows 333 for all 4 daily flights. Trying to see if I can snatch an award ticket before the change

The idioticness of the 787 windows is the centralised control, not their larger size (which of course is great.)

It will probably be one frequency, they obviously haven't updated the schedule with this change yet.

Just saw this!

I am booked in D1 on 132 in May, crossing fingers that this flight switches to 350

Flight is at 4:09 pm so perfectly timed for connections in AMS with 5:55 am arrival (don't know if this means it has highest load factor of the 4 daily flights), and it recently had an equipment change from 330-200 to 330-300....hopefully that's a sign

Actually I think the best thing about the suites is the privacy divider in the 'middle' section that you can open or close. Other than that, I think I prefer the 330 setup.

Wait. Haven't you read this thread? The 350 is awful. It's all marketing.

You should quickly reroute your trip thru CDG. Now that DL is threatening to send an A350 to AMS, it's best to avoid that airport entirely, just to be safe!

Pretty crazy how indifferent I am to the 330 versus the 350. Currently planning a Europe trip for next fall and was planning to fly DL on an A330 on the outbound.

I was initially excited when I read about the chance to fly the 350 DTW-AMS just now, but immediately started thinking about those instagram photos from yesterday and they didn't do much to sell me. Only pro I can see is cabin pressure and new plane with the seat being less desirable for couples when compared to the 333/332.
