Config of the 3-class cabin was…D1/32 seats (rows 1-9)…PS/48 seats (rows 20-25)...MC/226 seats (rows 30-55)…for a total 306 seats. This config was on the first 13 frames (3501-3513) delivered and then subsequently they were updated to the 4-class cabin as detailed below.

Config of the 4-class cabin is...D1/32 seats (rows 1-9)...PS/48 seats (rows 20-25)…C +/36 seats (rows 30-33)…MC/190 seats (rows 34-55)… for a total of 306 seats. Aircraft designation is 359.

We flew NRT-DTW last night in 4A and 5A. I selected mid-cabin rows to avoid possible galley lights/noise and lav traffic. No issues with having to share overhead bin space with middle seat passengers and having air vents was nice. The purser took meal orders going front to back starting at the starboard/right side, but we were able to get our first choices. We flew over on UA's new Polaris seats and I think I found UA's seat to be more comfortable.

Since you had seats closest to the window and closest to the aisle - one of each - which did you find more comfortable - seat closer to the window or aisle?
I have my first flight coming up in early January - snagged the good BE fare on the on-off flights LAS-ICN and can go with either. I know on the 767, I prefer the seats closer to the window.

We flew DTW-NRT on 23H,J and 22H,J on the way back. There are two windows on row 22, so you would have to move a bit to look out the window. The Japanese food choice ran out by the time it reached row 23, so I would recommend sitting 22 or above for PS.

I just noticed that today's A350 flight DL 276 from NRT>DTW, operated by N503DN, is being diverted to SEA. Anyone know what's going on here? On the App it shows DL 276 as operating NRT>MSP and has been cancelled!

Main complaint from a FA friend is the lack of a crossover at door 3. To go across, it is door 2, or all the way to the back.

At the end of the day, it's still the basic 767 DeltaOne seat with a door, bigger video screen and some cosmetic changes to the tray and storage. So, the window seat vs. aisle preferences for the 767 should apply for the A350. My wife is an easy sleeper on planes so I put her in 4A and I like to look out the window a lot so I sat in 5A. I really liked having air vents that the middle seats don't have. I also don't understand why the seats don't let you fully extend the footrest other than in full bed mode.

Just sat in PS seat 20A. Some notes:

1. Definitely choose bulkhead. There is a ton of leg space so the window passenger (same goes for the middle seats in the middle row) can get in and out without disturbing seat mate. The folks behind us struggled when 21A had to get in and out (especially when our seats were reclined--and yes, the recline is good).
2. Leg rest is somewhat useful. When fully extended and foot rest out, you can put your legs in different position to relieve some fatigue but there is no calf support unless you have very short legs. For most people, if you don't fold out the bottom part, you can rest your calves. I placed the pillow under my knees for the best comfort like that.
3. Powerport is awesome! The USB port was able to power and charge my MacBook so I didn't have to use my bulky charger. Other inflight USBs have too little power to power my laptop (not surprising) and sometimes couldn't even charge my phone.

These are cons because of the tremendous amount of wasted engineering time and $ on features that provide no value. They could have been better invested in perhaps building a lavatory door that stays on the track and doesn't jam so easily.

"they" who? I mean, Delta didn't design this thing. It's a sunk cost, the affect of that time and $ is basically zero on a marginal per-flight basis.

Don't bother with facts or logic, some people are determined to scream until everyone agrees with them that the A350 is the worst thing ever. Just ignore them.

The delta engineers who have spent time time designing this thing. You are correct, it is a sunk, wasted cost, that could have been spent elsewhere.
