Route: HSV-ATL-BGI
Fare: C+ Status: PM What Happened: Three hour ten minutes delay at HSV (DL155) due to mechanical issues. We were put on the next flight (DL591), also delayed. We had a CNX to the once a week departure to BGI (Sat only). Baggage ended up not being moved to new flt and we were told DL had no interline agreement with any other carriers that flew to BGI. Spouses bags arrived late Sunday night. My bag went the opposite direction to YYZ and sat for 31+ hours. It was delivered late Monday night. 3 days of missed vacation Compensation: 2,500 later than 20 mins miles. Nothing else from delayed bag office. Offer of some SkyPeso's but not enough. |
Thanks
For a very reasonable response, unlike many SA posters on this board.

SFO-JFK, LAX-JFK, SFO-BOS and LAX-DCA are sold as D1 (you get D1 service / sky club access). It's not like you've got luck that there are D1 seats on a FC route. Vouchers were just offered (don't know exactly where they come from) - but I'm very happy with them :)
FYI, if you read the full fare rules, there are equipment surcharges for aircraft equipped with lie-flat seats. If you pay for F on a domestic flight equipped with lie-flats, you would be entitled to a refund of that surcharge ranging from $75-$150. |

Nice captain on DL 4115 tonight (RDU - LGA). We had the standard LGA delays plus a bit more because of winds delaying us about 2 hours on departure (but only an hour on arrival because of the padded LGA times).
Gave the whole plane comp alcohol which was a nice and welcome way to apologize for delays outside of anyone's control. |

Oh, I didn't know. Which means that I have another refund coming, since I got a swap for F with lie-flat to F with regular recliner for one of my legs to Hawaii due to schedule change.

Of course, that was due to the missing SPF 50 shirts.....

Volunteered for a bump when checking in for RNO-MCO Friday. Received a phone call from Delta offering $500 each to rebook Saturday. They were trying to lighten the plane due to heat. Tried to get more for lodging but she would not budge. Took it as we have an Alaska trip planned.

The CoC is clear that you're not guaranteed type of aircraft/seat.

Actually no. They can refund the whole ticket and you purchase at then going rates. Nothing requires them to refund just the YQ.
Anyway thinking about it again, I'll probably just leave this one, since I just got extra $1000 in vouchers from D1 -> FC on a redeye, which cover this well enough as well. |

If you look up LAX-HNL in F, you'll see the flight with flat beds being $100 more expensive for the same fare type than other flights. I guess if that's the case, you probably can get that back.
