Thanks for the heads up. I have two flights tomorrow, fortunately with a very long connection.

So good news for the smart traveler :)

If you're willing to do it...SWA has great last minute deals sometimes. If their lower fare Wanna Get Away bucket opens up due to cancellations or flight changes, they re-offer that same fare price until it departure.

I had a group of workers going DTW-ATL whose original flight was Monday evening and didn't end up leaving until 12 hours later...but they swapped to SWA and were actually able to save $250 round trip and get in/out at their originally planned times.

Received 20K Sky Pesos just because Medallion.

Received 15K without asking for a broken plane(twice).

I have two open customer support cases. I had intentionally booked some connections on Wednesday to get next status tier. Then due to the delays, broken plane and getting rebooked(twice) I was put on a direct. Asked for my MQMs that I had booked. Assume they won't have a problem doing that.

You will get ORC MQMs.

ORC?

Original Route Credit?

Correct.

Rather surprising that the hometown rag printed something that negative.

Correct but you have to call in and ask for it

I have a different interpretation. While they likely have dual powerfeeds and dual power supplies for all devices, 300 of the devices had both power supplies plugged into the same power feed that went down (rather than each power supply fed from a separate independent feed). We've had this occur at several of our equipment site locations.

I have found much better success getting original routing credit by e-mailing and not calling.

I emailed via the comment/complaint form like normal. I'll give them a 7-10 days since it was a big outage. Sure they are backed up.

I posted about this a couple of days ago. I called, had a short wait, and ORC was processed while I was on the phone. Very easy.

I flew yesterday; first flight left 5mins early. Second was delayed about 25mins due to a late arriving inbound A/C.. Nothing crazy though. Was flying through SEA though, so didn't experience ATL/MSP/DTW
