Good luck for those who stuck!
|
I just saw the news report here in Israel and they said that Delta still does not know when it can resume operations.
|
At BOS, where the SkyPriority baggage check was twice as long as I've ever seen it. They're checking people in and taking their baggage but of course no planes are going anywhere.
|
Very long and slow manual check-in was being done in Europe this morning. I'm so glad that my DL flight back from Europe to the US wasn't postponed to be today instead.
|
Listening to ATL ramp and they're running out of gates as arrivals come in... the first DL arrival just came in and doesn't have a gate. This could be bad.

Time to get out the popcorn!

Stuck at HSV, just like everyone else. Has IT tried rebooting, or just closing RichardAnderson.exe?

I am airside at OMA right now. Things were chaotic at check in. They've just given an announcement that all DL flights worldwide are grounded and no timetable for when flights will resume.
|
As an IT-professional I am "shocked".
Good luck to everyone who's in a mess now. |
How much longer before crews start timing out ... Yikes
Just get me across the pond and I'll figure it out from there ! |
Sitting in the Lounge in CDG and all the DL flights that weren't early morning departures being held, had to wait in a long line to get in when they sent everyone away from the gate. Flying AF, but should be interesting making that connection in LAX later

Southwest sold Delta a whole bunch of 717s they didn't want a couple of years ago. So maybe Southwest followed suit by selling the computers from their system meltdown a couple of weeks ago to Delta. Delta probably figured it couldn't be any worse than their current IT system, so they accepted :D.

lol, ATL not even using the south side of the field.

Not sure there was any need for subtitles for a statement shown on the screen.

Those are closed captions for audio, the news reporter is likely reading the statement.
