Flying from MSP to PDX First Class on Sunday with my wife. I received the "pre-select your meal" today, but I was only able to make one selection. Is there a way to make a selection for each of us?

Do both tickets have individual SkyMiles #s on them? Or, only yours?

I think just mine. I'd have to check to be sure.

Believe that's likely why. Hers needs to be linked to a SkyMiles account to get the email (otherwise, they really have no email on record for her) to send to.

You could probably send a direct message on Twitter, providing the PNR and her name, and have them take care of it.

I guess that makes sense. I'll reach out to them Thanks

Got the email for Sunday's MSP-SFO Lunch.

CHICKEN ENCHILADAS
served with sour cream and mild salsa

GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD
romaine and mesclun mix, roasted sweet potato, wheat berries and dried cherries

I wish they listed the sides or at least that they came with side.

I'm thinking grilled chicken salad since it'll be chilled?

The sides don't vary much ... I'd guess that the salad comes with a few pieces of fruit and the enchiladas come with a small side salad. On shorter flights, there would not necessarily be anything.

I stand corrected, it was indeed the quiche. My spouse chose it and it was very good. I've had another type of egg with spinach that wasn't good at all.

LGA-ORD Dinner
Really loving having mainline on this route! Impressed with these options....sorry for the vegetarians.
BEEF TENDERLOIN WITH BLEU CHEESE CRUMBLES
served with roasted red potatoes and sauteed spinach
CHICKEN NICOISE SALAD
with tomato, eggs, green beans, potato, kalamata olives and capers

blitzcon Aug 5, 2019 10:04 pm

Email link with choices for SFO-SEA

OATS N HONEY GRANOLA CEREAL
with Chobani Greek yogurt, fresh fruit and croissant

SCRAMBLED EGG PRETZEL ROLL
Swiss cheese and turkey Canadian bacon

I've had the first so getting the second. Exception route that has meal service.

And choices for SEA-IND

GRILLED SALMON SALAD WITH ROASTED VEGETABLES
roasted potato, squash, brussels sprouts and celery root medley, topped with queso fresco

VEGETARIAN LASAGNA
with portobello mushrooms, kale and a roasted red pepper sauce

I love salmon so the first works for me.

SJC ORD LDR Aug 5, 2019 10:17 pm

Got my first email about choosing a meal on DL Connection (CP) for SJC-SEA. Choices were egg, cheese and turkey bacon on pretzel roll or cold cereal. I've seen this for mainline, but not regional. I guess this is new.

This has to be an exception route. That beef entree is always a tasty option, as long as they don't leave it in for more than 16 minutes - anything more than that and the tiny 2 oz piece of beef some stations use becomes beyond well done.

I also wish Delta would stop using the word "salad" and just say "on a bed of XXX" with XXX being replaced by romaine, arugula, quinoa, farro, or corn and tomatoes for that "southwest salad" [is that still even being served?] so we know what specifically they are serving it on.

Yes, but don't you find something offputting about DL's salmon? It's either weirdly cut pieces, fake grill marks on the meat, the albumin left coagulated on the salmon, or the lack of lemon on board to ask for on the size to flavor it with.

I enjoy salmon too, but usually salmon is one of DL's cheapest feeling/looking proteins, unfortunately. It looks like a rectangle of salmon that came out of a frozen bag of fillets.

Yep, def an exception route as it's only like 715 miles. I never saw meals like this when it was DLX E175's only. The upgauge to mainline has been very welcome just for operational reliability alone. I fly this route 1-2x each month and things can get dicey having to rely on these two airports so often.

That's... what it is? Are you expecting them to filet it on board?
