This wiki is intended to contain a list of opportunities to fly internationally configured wide-body aircraft within the United States, aside from the usual JFK-LAX/SFO 767s and newer domestic DeltaOne routes. This is a collaborative wiki, not an OP-maintained thread; please contribute by editing the wiki directly as you become aware of regularly scheduled or repositioning flights. Schedules change far more frequently than community members have time to update this wiki; therefore please verify the equipment before purchasing a flight.

Probably some strange positioning flight. It would appear that it is probably an old LATAM aircraft that does not have premium economy, just business, comfort plus and economy. Also business is not lie flat on these aircraft

Thank for your reply. When I took this flight, next destination is Incheon(ICN). I rebooked last minutes for the cancelled and misconnection flight at PHX. I was surprised that only I am a Comfort Plus standby list. When I boarded, it is Premium Select seat. Most of Passengers are NRSA. So, it was good chance to get it.

Business is VERY-much lie flat. It is not direct-aisle access. I actually love the LATAM 350s in business. The "suite" is a cramped gimmick for people that don't know any better.

I don't think there are any other A359 departures out of PHX though? I didn't do an exhaustive search, but looking at FR24
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/dl1002
if you then click on the tail numbers, it seems like it operates MSP-PHX-MSP. So it seems more like an aircraft utilization thing.
Again didn't search exhaustively but the next couple days, and some other random days further out, show the 1-2-1 suites product.
The ex-LATAM J seats are lie flat, just 2-2-2 instead of 1-2-1.

Because it's approaching the Spring Break season and Arizona is a popular destination in March/April so widebodies have often been sent to PHX during the March/April timeframe since the demand warrants the capacity.

Nah. I "know better" and I still prefer the suite, or really any D1 seat where there's nobody sitting next to me and I can get directly to the aisle from a window seat. The ex-LATAM configuration is crap.

Yeah seems like an aircraft upgage to handle higher demand. Although it's on a lousy wide-body aircraft, it's good to see DL is bring back these upgages this year even though International demand has returned post-covid.

I have taken this route a few times in the past few months. Each time the routing for the plane has been ICN-MSP (6:30 pm) -PHX (redeye)- MSP-ICN. More often than not its a pretty full flight RT so the demand is there. It was similar last winter as well.
Im a lowly silver, but love the domestic widebody routes. The preferred seats in the first few rows of coach are c+ seats so worst case I end up with an extra legroom c+ coach seat and best case my c+ upgrade turns into premium select.
