It is pretty silly. Shouldn't the complimentary Sky Club offerings at least match what's served on board?

It's also crazy to not have a decent bourbon in a airline club in the United States--it's like not serving a good wine in France.

SCs don't serve good wines either, although some are a bit better, such as Kenwood at LAX rather than jug wine.

BOS used to have complimentary champagne also until the Luxury Bar came... now its just the absurdly priced champagne splits.

At least the agents there are still awesome.

They have Jack Daniels which is pretty close. The only thing keeping Jack from being a true bourbon is they charcoal filter it before they age it, something bourbon makers don't do.

Clarified that for you.

I suffer through jack at almost every sky club. They can keep their maple sugar charcoal thingy - I will drink beam any day over jack.

That would require somebody who cares.

Plus one on that! For those of us that like Woodford, I would recommend trying Buffalo Trace. It's very good and a little cheaper than the Woodford, but not cheap enough that we will see it it the SC anytime soon.

It's easy to remove drinks from the lounge but very difficult to on board.

Do you mean to suggest that alcohol theft is a significant problem in airline lounges? If so, Delta's shift toward full-service bars would seem to minimize that risk.

Wow do I miss those days. Way more civilized than today.
