Getting a Ground Transportation Voucher Home

I'm sitting in Atlanta now riding out a 4:10 mechanical delay on DL1296. Originally I was supposed to land at around 945P, now we're at 122A. This makes a big difference because the 28X bus stops running at 1230A, leaving me stranded at the airport. What are the chances I can get DL to give me a ground transport voucher so I can get home early tomorrow morning?

100% if you plat it right

Shouldn't even involve playing it right. Its MX delay causing you to miss the ride home.

At that time of morning its unlikely that any DL ground transport services are still around, so you might have to ask for a taxi refund. Make sure you do this and get your record noted while still in ATL.

Corporate Custome Care reply email address?

Emailed and complained about DL delaying my bag four days while on our honeymoon in Venice and Italy. Gave both my wife and I 5,000 Skymiles each. A family friend that is a DL Diamond is saying that's no where near adequate. Tried replying back to the email from Delta. Literally took them two weeks to reply back to my complaint. Called the direct CCC phone number but the phone rep said reply directly back to the email if I wanted to escalate the issue. Replied back to the email using [email protected] and [email protected] but the second one came back as failed to deliver. Anyone have another email address?

Couple questions...

1. Do you have status? Diamonds and other HVCs are likely to get higher compensation amounts than non-status passengers.
2. Whether 5,000 miles is sufficient should be a determination made by you, not somebody else. What do you feel is adequate?
3. Did you have out-of-pocket expenses for clothes or incidentals that you submitted for reimbursement, and did DL reimburse them?

You need to write back that you each bought clothes for 50$ a day and that you need 2 200$ vouchers instead and you should get it

Oh and i just got 15k for a non working touch screen avod system( Could work but had to use the remote)

As an update, DL in Pittsburgh was happy to give me a taxi voucher home. Managed to be in bed at 4am, though the $50 they gave for an almost 5 hour delay feels a bit skimpy. On the whole though, I'm not too dissatisfied. I was a bit surprised that there wasn't another M88/320/738 laying around somewhere in Atlanta though, as we had to wait for a plane coming in from MSY.

I sent in a complaint about some odds and ends maintenance wise and explicitly asked for no compensation. I told them the foot rest in the seat next to mine, occupied by a stranger, was broken and they gave me 7500 miles.

I don't know why, but I laughed very hard at this. ^

Please forgive me, but this is my first post and I'm terribly excited!

So, I checked in at NRT early for my economy flight to SFO (then SFO to ATL) and the extremely polite Delta agent informed me the flight was oversold and if I would be interested in a direct flight to ATL.

I told her that was fine as I was not in any hurry to get back home.

She then gave me the wonderful news that for my generosity I would get a free business class upgrade on my flight from NRT to ATL.

I've been a Gold Medallion for a couple of years and have had minor upgrades on short hauls or up to EWR, but this one takes the cake.

1. No, I don't have status and yes, I realize they are more likely to give out more Skymiles to a Diamond vs the average joe passenger.
2. I feel 20k would be sufficient considering all the frustrations of being delayed going in and out of JFK plus the whole bag snafu.
3. Yes, but we paid in cash to avoid foreign trans fee on our cc. Was about 250euro's. Clothes aren't cheap in Milan. lol

Yea, when I replied back to the their original email, I mentioned the 250 euro's that we spent out of pocket. But we don't have any receipts since it was paid in cash. In hindsight, wish I would've put it on the AmEx

Oh, and forgot to mention.. when I originally tried to call and complain after receiving the email from CCC, the phone rep was a complete B-i-t-c-h. Tried to tell me they replied the same day I sent the complaint. Called back and the next rep pretty much said the first rep lied. Mentioned that in my reply email back to DL CCC

They most likely wont ask for proof if you mention you just want a voucher

Cool. Yep. A voucher or a bunch of Skymiles will be sufficient. Trying to plan a trip to Vegas in Nov.

Thrilled to report that Delta gave me 20,000 miles for a broken BE flat-bed seat (on a red-eye TATL). Seat did not convert to flat-bed mode and FAs couldn't fix it.

Best part is that this was a low-level J award ticket, so the total cost of my roundtrip TATL dropped from 100k to 80k. :)

A whole new territory for complaints....
