I assume the blankets are washed, and being sealed in a bag is promising. but the pillows...I stopped trusting those a while ago, once I started flying a lot and started thinking about sealed blankets but not sealed pillows... Even in J on various airlines, I seem to recall the pillows (with a nice pillow case) are just sitting in the seats, whereas the blankets are always sealed... Anyway. I can't imagine the fiber fill pillows get cleaned, and they just put the new dryer sheet pillowcase on, but I can at least hope that the blankets are. So that's why I travel with a nice compressible travel pillow with memory foam chunks that eventually expand into almost a regular sized pillow. It's great. Ultimately, I'm with you: use the DL pillows for my lower back. ^
