Heads up to those flying back to SEA from ATL on Sun the 25th. DL2829 has had a schedule change. It's now departing at 700p instead of 645p. And the block time has increased by 15 minutes. It's now arriving at 941p instead of 911p.
I'm still hoping that award ticket upgrades are implemented by October

Ok, I did it. I pushed my chips "All In" and pot committed to every event.
I'm looking forward to putting some faces to some FT handles!

(Just try saying that five times fast!)
Speaking of Keep Delta My Delta, I still find it pretty neat that my name ended up on the KDMD website: http://web.archive.org/web/200705141...re_saying.aspx (under Frequent Flyers part...)
Considering the below quote, the DL/NW merger is put in quite a different (and amazing) context, don't you think? Especially so when you realize that it was only a bit more than 2 years from the date of the quote and the subsequent announcement of the DL/NW merger. It makes me wonder whether it would have ever happened if GG had stayed on as CEO, instead of being replaced by RA.
Whenever you go from having two carriers to one, or three carriers to two, that is going to have a consumer impact. There will be a loss of service in some smaller communities. There will be an increase in fares. . . . There is no question that there are antitrust issues that won't be quickly or easily resolved. I think the track record of good mergers is hard to find [in the airline industry].
- Gerald Grinstein, Delta Chief Executive Officer, The Washington Post, December 6, 2006
If you are "pot committed" to every event, will you actually be able to remember which faces go with which FT handles?
I am counting on at least one uproarious comment from DOV regarding this posting! Just think about how 420 would enhance DOV's harem building capabilities! It could well be a true sight to behold! @:-)
