Just booked one of the first cruises on Oceania Vista - 10 nights - Barcelona to Lisbon 26 April ‘ 23 .
The 2023 cruises must be in great demand as Oceania ‘ s website was “ crashing “ since last week , worse past couple of days when bookings opened !
Trust cruising really bounces back & restrictions minimised by then .
Hoping our next year ‘ s cruises on Nautica , May - June : Venice - Istanbul - Athens will be enjoyable & memorable in all the right ways .. It ‘ s just been too long !

Tried to do the Oceania PR webinar on Vista last week but I had too many tech problems (wouldn't buffer properly - not sure if it was my internet or their streaming but it was annoying so I turned it off). Hope you enjoy!

I went through a scare today. I got email from Celebrity saying that because we are not U.S. nationals, they were cancelling our reservation. The problem is that we are U.S. citizens (actually dual Canada/U.S.)! Luckily, the email was a mistake so we're still good to go in three weeks.
For those not familiar with the rules, the cancellation is due to Biden's executive order from January prohibiting non-U.S. nationals from entering the U.S. if they've been in the Schengen Area within the past 14 days. Since the cruise has several Spanish ports within the proscribed time period, many reservations are being cancelled. We'll see how empty the ship will be because of this.

gretchendz - I see you added a cruise for 07 November 2022. There is no HAL cruise on 07 November 2022. Did you mean 05 November, or is that a duplicate of your 2021 cruise?

First post-pandemic cruise now scheduled. Will see if we get cold feet and drop it:
Viking Orion, Vancouver to Seward, May 3-13, 2022. Will be our first Viking cruise and the first time we have taken such a large (and expensive) suite! If we are forced to isolate in our cabin, at least we are in a big one.

Just got back from our transatlantic on the Apex. Totally awesome. Ship was less than 1/3 full, 100% vaccination rate (other the the one person under 12). Everyone had three tests (beginning, middle, and end) and all were negative. A beautiful bubble in the midst of reality.

Just booked a few new sailings, Jewel of the Seas (ship I've been on the most, but hey when the cruise is free) and Celebrity Edge which I really loved. Trying Retreat class this time, so hopefully my mom and I have enough space to get along with each other.

If you can't find a place, you can mail order tests; you take it in front of a medical professional on video in front ofr your computer and tney confirm the results and send you an email confirmation of results to use. Just make sure the test is one the cruise line accepts.

As long as you have a good Internet connection, it's not a problem. I just did one an hour ago for a trip to the U.S. tomorrow.

Royal Caribbean has a link on their website to order tests for personal use, supervised by eMed. You can do them anywhere.
