Current welcome offer is 50,000 30,000 Crystal points with $5,000 $3,000 spending in the first 90 days. First annual fee not waived. (as of telephone call with bank employee 8/7/2019)

Past bonuses were:

***** #1502 - signup bonus 1/16/18 BUT ANNUAL FEE NOT WAIVED ******

100,000 points after spending $5,000 in first three months. Offer expires 30 December 2015. EXPIRED

A 70,000 points offer was offered back in March 2017 and expired March 31st, 2017. EXPIRED

The requirements for the application process varies from bank to bank based on various online data points collected from FlyerTalk, Doctor of Credit, etc.

Some banks require that you go into a branch and apply personally. Other banks want you to have another account open for 90 days before you can get this card. Some banks (if you already have a relationship with them) let you apply via mail. Sometimes you have to be a resident of the state they operate in, while some were able to get the card without living in those states. It is very much YMMV. You will need proof of income (W2, check stubs, etc). The only states City National Bank operates in are: NY, DE (only trust office, no go), DC, GA, TN, MN, NV & CA. The bank is looking for high net worth individuals, but that's not exactly consistent either.

The card has no foreign transactions fees and is fee-free the first year, then $400 annually.

Register your card for online access (cno.cnb.com). This changed on Sept 19 2019.
Register separately for the award page (www.cnbrewards.com).
Register for Visa Infinite info and access at https://myvisainfinite.com/cnb/en_us/home.html
Click "my info" to see details on points awarded.
Best* redemption found to date is $1,000 prepaid visa for 105K pts. It's now 125K pts for a $1,000 prepaid visa. Link to catalog

They're probably just preparing to cancel everyone's cards and shut down the portfolio.

one can only hope. I would be happy to get a pro rata refund of my AF. This happened not long ago with the JCB card but at least JCB gave fair notice and the CS team was as nice as you will find anywhere.

Canceled my card yesterday through a phone call. Going by last year, my annual fee would have been charged today. The lady on the phone said that she'd have to email my relationship banker, and it would take a few days, and that she is not sure if it will be closed in time to avoid the annual fee.

I logged into the CNB website today to see if I am charged the annual fee. It's just all blank space now under Account Summary page.

I guess I will have to see if I receive a paper statement to see what my balance will be. My relationship banker was competent. I wish I could have given her more business, but the bank's website has always been a joke.

I won't miss CNB. Onward and upward.

Priority charges?

I was checking randomly my account and found 2 recent charges of 32 (one in each PP’s account holder)...I am pretty sure that neither card was used and now surpised with those charges...

anyone with the same problem?

Any DP getting the annual fee waived by closing the account before due date? Was planning on keeping it for another year for $50 cost assuming I can get $350 AA GC, since I have some points not spent. Now the points are used, annual fee posted, but not yet seeing any DP for getting AA GC reimbursed, I am wondering my chance of getting the fee waived trying to close the account?

My show up blank when you first login after you cancel. On the top right, of screen click "My Accounts" and it will show you the card again, hopefully with no annual fee charged

I've got about 53K in points left. I already cancelled all my AU cards. Anyone have suggestions on how to cash them out? I'm thinking gift cards, but if there is a better way I am all ears. Thanks!

Why not just cash out? It's the same rate that you get as with a gift card. And they can cut you a check for the $500 or so that you would get.

(The only possible negative here is that they might send you a 1099-Misc next year for the cash....well, they might do that for GCs too, I suppose)

We cancelled our card on the 20th of january to avoid AF. We had a legit luggage charge (minor too) that never credited but we gave up due to reports here and no movement since 1/2. When you close your account- your online access is terminated as well. It will be empty- no history- no transactions- nothing. if you need any details, print them ahead of time (if you get email statements). In addition, we have to send a check for the luggage fees. We had auto pay but the entire account just gets cut off so we have to pay that with a check and mail it in. I don't recall too many auto pays that cut you off without collecting their last payment so this is all rather archaic. We also received new PPs after we cancelled so we contacted our banker to make sure it was closed (avoiding AF) which we were told yes. Hth for those who are closing accounts..
