Caution:
Barclays has a history of not seeing the offer you signed up for, and demanding that you send it to them.
So save a printout or screen capture of the landing page that spells out the offer!

What's in this thread:
This thread starts out by discussing a slightly different version of this offer that was around in late 2013.
(That version waived the $69 fee the first year for the 45k offer; the current 30k and 45k offers do not.)
Only those posts from July 2014 forward are about the current offer;
all posts from Apr 2014 backward are about the late 2013 offer.

Yes, this confused me, as well. You will receive the 15k on your next statement. I'm not sure why this occurs, but rest assured that you'll see the additional points next month. Barclays really shouldn't show the 15k on the statement if they are not going to send them to Wyndham until the following month.

Oh that's why. Well at least they didn't downgrade me to the 30k offer. I'm curious how long this card needs to stay open before you can close it/consolidate credit into another Barclays card and not have any of the bonus points clawed back?

Now 30K

45K offer now dead. We're back to 30K (plus 15K if Barclays loves you).

updates?

Has anyone received this card in the last 4 or 5 months and rec. 45K pts.? I know the offer now is for 30K pts but many of us rec. 60K when we were approved for the 45K offer last year. My wife is thinking of applying soon for a Kauai visit.

I wish I could go back in time, apply for the card, and be grand fathered into 15k points every year. God, I would keep that card forever.

It is a nice card and all, but the 15K bonus is only worth one free night a year. It isn't that great a benefit.

It's equivalent to an uncapped free night certificate with 18 months (soft) to 4 years (hard) expiration. What limits it is the overall lower quality of the average WyndhamRewards brand, compared to the free night certificates (sometimes capped to lower categories, never valid longer than 1 year AFAIK) from Chase for roughly similar annual fees with IHG, Marriott, and Hyatt.

While 15k for $69 for a Super 8 that's going for $119+tax is technically a good value, it's still a Super 8.

If you applied for the no AF version 4 months ago can will they let you do the Fee version, that 45K is nice. And can you downgrade the Fee version after 12 months to avoid second AF.

The anniversary bonus is different; it used to be a full 15 000 points each year. Now it's only 6000.

That would be nice - to allow you to use the no-fee version as a way to keep the 45,000 points (earned from the fee version) from expiring after 18 months.

Anyone know the answer?

Yes, it works. My husband just applied and got approved. I took a screen shot of the offer (you have to click through and then scroll to the bottom terms to see the offer details.)
