Please don't delete this Wiki.
Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.

Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

Do you have a Signature account - that earns 1 mile/$1?

I have 'old' account that supposed to earn 0.5 miles/$1 with cap of 2K miles. I spent $4100 last month, got 2050 miles.

Has anyone already asked SunTrust what is now the span of each 1-month period? Is it the calendar month, because it definitely wasn't the 5th to the 4th this time?

I received around 1900 miles, under my $4000+ spending in a Balanced Banking account. Also, I had $6000+ in purchases on 7/23 that posted as 7/29 transactions. Being past the 7/25 date, they didn't appear in my August miles. However it seems they also didn't appear in my September miles. That late July period seems like a no-man's land. Thanks.

its the same exact thing as it has always been. there were always outlier months like 10/14 posted on 8th. You want to be safe? Always spend after miles post and before 30/31st. There is no point in calling drones at ST call-center.
You have first month after major change, plus 3 day bank holiday. The miles posted exactly when one would expect them - one business day after holiday.

I'm not talking about the day of the month that miles post. I couldn't care less about that.

The monthly cap did not exist in the past, so it's not "the same exact thing" and the dates matter more. As I said, my spending on 7/23 showed up as 7/29 on SunTrust. I did not receive miles for that spending in August nor in September. Even if I exclude those purchases, I was still shortchanged this week. To be safe I exceeded $4000 in spending IN THE WINDOW YOU DESCRIBED and did not get my expected 2000 miles.

I don't want to call SunTrust either. There's no need to put eyes on my account. I simply asked if SunTrust had already explained to someone that maybe they're now using a calendar month or whatever.

you did something wrong, i have not been short-changed in last two years.
july miles posted in 3 batches for me, as well as many here. so it was a definite outlier.

they never did before, they wont do it now. ST and DL will be happy to refer you to each other to get more details, as they have always been.

I really don't understand your attitude.

No. I did nothing wrong. I did nothing different from past purchases which all worked prior to just recently. Given the IT and policy change it's surely on their end. It's great that it worked out for you. I'm not planning to call ST. If I had I wouldn't have posted here first. I thought we're trying to help each other but I guess not.

Last time I looked at T&C (you can find it on suntrust page dedicated to delta debit card), it said that miles are counted from 5th to 4th, depending on weekend/holidays.

I made my purchases in the middle of August for $4K (in 4 separate transactions) and all miles are posted. I didn't use my card after July 23rd until middle of the August.

I only received 750 miles for august with $4000 in evolve bill pays and some other spend. Honestly just not worth it for me anymore to even try and keep track of it for a pitiful 2k points a month. Going to just close my account and get my annual fee back and spend some time on more productive point production.

I'm interested to know who got the most miles given there is supposed to be caps. I came in at 4361 but, as I mentioned, I limited my spend. Wondering if it's worth ramping back up??

I came in a bit above 2,000 (my cap) because like you I didn't spend as much as normal. I was expecting to see 2,000 even. I'm home for a few days next week, maybe I'll load up on MOs and see what the October posting looks like.
