Some of us still earn Delta miles with this card or may want information about past or grandfathered terms and conditions.
Please do not spread panic about miles not posting until after the 10th of each month.
In most cases, miles post in the evening on the 5th of each month if it's a business day, or else the evening of the next business day. "Miles post for purchases made between (inclusive) 5th day of prior month to 4th day of current month."

No, I received no notification and am happily receiving the Delta miles I am entitled to. If you have been cut off, you need to contact SunTrust (not Suntrust) and find out why. None of us are mind readers.Originally Posted by carlos007007

i think we can expect things to continue "function" - http://www.computerworld.com/article...on-clause.html

Wow, what an article. I happen to work in IT and have been offered similar severance packages in the past, minus that ridiculous clause to agree to help for up to 2 years. That is insanity! I can imagine people are not happy with that.
Sadly, due to severe reduction in value because of 2k miles monthly cap and .5 miles per dollar spent, and, the real killer, disqualification of quarterly tax payments, I finally closed this account today. Was a great relationship while it lasted. Not worth keeping $25,000 at ST just to get 1 point/dollar since only qualifying expenses are now primarily utilities and health insurance, which can be paid with united or Delta Amex card for miles.
So sad ...
So sad ...

Offshore customer service, support, and development has worked so bad that some companies are finally bringing the jobs back. Besides a lack of understanding English, the critical culture connection background can be mostly missing.
Just another BIG reason to end this relationship.

I can hardly imagine that requiring theft of a professional's time and demanding that they be "on call" would survive even a minimal lawsuit.Originally Posted by JayTeaBee

Looks like Sun Trust is well on their way to offshore support:Originally Posted by uds0

I was concerned that the offshore migration would affect getting things done there - looks iffy to me.
so pleasant surprise, got physical letter that since you change ur account to signature, you were charged some unauthorized fees (i searched and didnt see any fees, apart from yearly fees), and suntrust will credit my account with 150$. nothing to complain
did anyone else got the same letter?

Just closed mine this morning as well. Just not worth the efforts for the small pittance of miles. Oh well, as you said, it was fun while it lasted.Originally Posted by uds0

Just received a certified letter from ST that after reviewing my accounts they would like to close it. I am surprised. I survived shutdown waves last summer, and usually spend ~$20K/month, but after devaluation, I did only $5K first month and $12-17K other months. I only deposited couple of MOs during all my days with ST, I have their Signature account ($25K balance to avoid fees) and when I was approaching that limit, I deposited checks from my other bank accounts or wife wrote her checks to me, or I did ACH. I did all my spend in WMT.
I noticed in the letter that they suggest to close an account by specific date, otherwise, they would close it. I wonder, if I close account myself, can I open another one in the future?
