As an additional resource for these cards see this thread: Alaska Airlines Visa

30k mile offer with $100 credit, $75 AF, $1k spend: https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...aignid=4009277

If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.

A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

BUSINESS CARDS

30k mile offer, $75 AF, $1k spend, no foreign transaction fees:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallb...-credit-card//

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
  • $50 per company, $25 per card (Business Level Earning Plan)
    • $0 per company, $75 per card (Individual Level Earning Plan)

To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Also see the Applying for Business Credit Cards [Consolidated] thread (not-BofA-specific) for general tips on applying for business cards.

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):

1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"

1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949

Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)

Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Check application status online here:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.

When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.

If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

I've tried twice to apply for Business card, but keep getting th message below. It's so annoying since the biz card requests so much information to be inputted. I tried Chrome and Mozilla. Do you think the application was submitted?

We apologize for any inconvenience.
The credit card application "link" you requested is currently unavailable.

I applied for my first card in late December and reapplied last week, approximately 8 weeks later. I just got a decline letter stating that it was a "duplicate app" and, if I had any questions to write to them at the address provided.
Any suggestions?

Added Business recon line to wiki. Called the generic business line and they transferred me to a business credit analyst at that number:

Applied to two personal cards yesterday (first time applying for Alaska cards). Got instant approval for the first one and under review for the second one. Called recon to get them to consider the second application (it did get coded as a dup). The rep was very nice and looked into the application and approved the second card as well - as long as I was willing to move credit from the first card to the second. I was approved a CL of 8K on the first card, so I moved 3K to the second card. Then I confirmed with her that I was entitled to the 25K intro promo on both cards. She stated that I needed a CL of min 5K to get the intro promo and bumped my CL on the second card to 5K! She said I get the intro promo on both cards...let's see if I get the bonus miles when I meet the min spending! Hope this helps as an additional data point.

For those who are approved for 3x on the same day... Can they all be personal? Or max 2 personal? When calling for recon what do you say when they ask why you applied for three of the same cards?

I just had a weird experience with the Alaska personal card. I originally applied for and received it about a year ago. Didn't use it much other than to receive the bonus miles.

A couple of months ago I called customer service to cancel due to the upcoming annual fee, and was offered a waiver of the annual fee. I was told that I might still receive a statement showing the fee. I accepted the fee waiver.

I received a statement with the annual fee. I kept checking my account and there has been no sign of the fee waiver. I called customer service today. I was told they never offer a fee waiver due to their agreement with Alaska and the previous representative must have given me wrong information. I'm not sure if that's accurate but didn't push it and closed the account.

I just received a targeted offer by mail offering 30k miles upon approval, no min spend, 25k + 5k BoA bonus, I presume since I have BoA bank account and other CCs.

How does rank as far as AS offers go? Worth getting? I have a pretty small AS mileage balance as of right now.

Just call recon and inform them it is not a duplicate.

Call recon line and state that this is not a dup. You can say you would like two cards to separate your expenses (business vs. personal for example). You may need to move some CL between the cards but make sure that you have 5K at least on the new one so you can be eligible for the intro offer.

If you have a use for the AS mileage - go for it. 50K offers have come and gone, but not sure when they will come back. If it comes back soon, you can always call to ask for a match.

Roughly that time frame, i.e. 10 business days. You will get a letter probably around 5-day after approval, says BoA approves your application. Then several days later maybe you'll get the card.

I got the cards after 2 weeks, just be patient. I also got the "price you pay for credit" letter with credit score twice for each card. So it seems one needs patience, this is BoA after all.

B of A is slow as molasses.

And if they approve you for a Plat, and you get them to agree to exchange that for a Sig, it takes nearly forever. I applied 7 weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for the Sig card to arrive. My B of A webpage still lists that card as a Plat.
