What kind of flights? CO only does special meals on int'l and transcon flights.

I had a cookie last week on my EWR-PHX morning flight. Yummy!
Yuck! I hate any Coke products that are non-American. The taste of the Coke Light in South Africa was disgusting.

Flew an IAH-ATL flight this evening that was labeled on the website as "Dinner" in F. The PC in IAH confirmed it was a dinner flight. The FA's had other ideas and did minimal drink service and pretzel tossing. Not exactly a good deal when you arrive in ATL and leave the airport after most places have closed food service. What's reasonable to ask for in this situation? I'd think a voucher for the cost of room service or some miles (EQMs would be super nice... and free for CO...)

Not only that, but it's Sunday, so Chick-fil-a is closed.

I've flown that flight many times, and dinner in F is about 50/50. If it's loaded and served, it's a salad and fruit. However, I've run to make that flight after coming in from a COEX flight on a tight connection returning home from work, and gotten on board and been told "There's no meal on this flight." The next week I'd do the same and there would be a meal. I'm not sure what the deal with that particular flight is, but I've found that flight to be very hit and miss when it comes to meal service.
Also, usually IAH-ATL flights that get a meal in F are listed as a "Snack" on the timetable, and the flight status page shows that usually as a "Snack featuring a fresh salad," or something to that effect. Last night the flight status page on the website just said "Dinner" for F, and "Light snack" for Y.
Something in CO's system is a little off when it comes to that flight and ordering catering.

One thing unique about ATL flights, unless they've changed recently, is that they're often downline catered. The outbound flight deadheads the food to ATL where it is unwrapped and served on the way back. It has happened many times in the past that the food was served on the wrong leg, leaving the true meal flight nothing to serve but pretzels. Back in the day, I may have even done it...ONCE. Because if you're the one who made the mistake and happen to be working the return leg, you're also the one who has to try and explain to the PAX why they don't have their expected meal. After that, you tend to make double sure you're serving the right meal on the right leg.

Were you on CO0755? My partner was on the same plane as you last night.

I won't name any specific airline, but last month was told "you should be lucky" to get a bag of peanuts from a FA.
Ya, I sent an email....

Has IAH-ATL always been downline catered? It has been a while since I've been on an ATL-IAH flight with a meal, but I've seen catering loading meals into the F galley many times over the past couple of years.

Yes, as long as I can remember, depending on time of day. It's usually timed for pretzels going and cold plate or salad-no-choice coming back. So like, between meal-time going and crossing a meal coming back as far as I can recall.
I didn't catch what time of day the OP was referring to. It wouldn't seem that this flight would qualify for a meal if it departed after 7. Nonetheless, I agree that the web site should accurately reflect what is (or isn't) being served.

There's a lunch time IAH-ATL flight that always gets the salad, without fail. I've never any issues with that one. Likewise, the ATL-IAH flights seem to be more consistent. It's just that ~7:00 PM IAH-ATL flight that seems to have this issue.
