I'm seeing $616.80 all-in for IAH-AMS; BRU-EWR-CLE-IAH. That's decent enough to book. $700 was just too high.

That's less than the fare from DCA ($642 all-in DCA-EWR-BRU-EWR-DCA).

I'm definitely going to work in a side-trip to Bruges on Sunday.

If you go to Bruges and beer tasting is one of the your things you may want to visit Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan, brewer of Brugse Zot. Nice tour, good beer and food if you choose. Building dates back to 1654 and served as a brewery the entire time. If you go to the restaurants on the square you'll find the entres a bit more expensive then those off the beaten track.

The other great beer cafe is 't Brugs Beertje, which is located on Kemelstraat, a small street off busy Steenstraat (this place is a bit difficult to find but worth it)

Be VERY careful if you're looking for authentic Belgian Lace as much of it is made in China. A better place for Lace is "The Lady with Unicorn" in Antwerp of the Markt square.

Also be sure to visit a frietkots or fritures, which are outdoor vendors who sell Belgian Fries.

It's a very cool little city, just bring comy shoes and what I found to be best way to see the city is on foot, Site see a little, Drink a Belgain Beer a little and relax

PineyBob, you probably live around the corner from me. The question is, which corner?

Hey, for those who haven't booked flights for this event, check out the DL fares to DUB:

Might have to put a DL voucher to use on this one, depending on how much DUB-BRU costs.

Why do you want to fly BRU-EWR-CLE-IAH? So that you can experience CO narrowbody coach on not one, but two flights on your return?

I don't know if I'm brave enough for Ryanair, but I would like those new flighmemory lines.

Short trip made easier by a taste before you board.

:)

Aer Linghus is about 83 euros.

That's strange. Orbitz is showing DCA-DUB on DL for $298 (including taxes), but Delta.com shows $477 with taxes.

I still think CO will drop the price to BRU - the CO flights are empty.

I agree, and will be holding off on buying.

Do we have an update on the confirmed attendees list?

The DCA-BRU fare did drop a little today to $534+tax from $562+tax, but it is back to $562. I think we will see a fare war to Europe for travel this winter.
