CO is already there. That's the ~$600 fare that we're seeing right now.

Yes, EWR-BRU is now $520+$85=$605. Since this is matching an advertised fare (currently a "T" fare) it likely will go lower - unadvertised - say some mid-week day near the end of the month or end of the year.

If it's a V fare, be sure to book the NW variant (and not KL, as you will earn 0 Miles on the KL V fare ). Also, be prepared for 50% EQM.

It's a V, all on NW metal.

Keep in mind that NW's V fare still earns 50% EQMs. For a long flight, it would be worth paying the extra to stick with CO.

Please add me to the group of highly interested for this trip.

Hi all,

Although I'm still on the "expressed interest" list, just wanted to let you know of a special offer at the Renaissance Brussels. Thu - Sun is "Buy 2, get 1 free" for €79 per night.

The advantage of the Renaissance is that there is a bus service from the airport to within 5 minutes walking (Place du Luxembourg) of the Renaissance.

Now to see if I can make the dates work for me.

Cheers,

GenevaFlyer

Yep. Can get a NW fare on the KL nonstop IAH-AMS on the 74M that's about $100 less than CO, but I'm just not willing to forego the 50% EQM. Plat requal next year will be tight, I fear. Can't afford to waste TATL EQMs.

CO's L fares from DCA are out, and are currently about $682 all-in. :td: I probably will fly KL instead.

The 332 in Y is supposed to be tolerable. The Y seats on the 74M I flew AMS-IAH were a bit ragged, and that was several years ago.

The 332 is (IMO) KL's best aircraft, but I've only flown it in J (but have looked at the Y seats). It probably would be more comfortable than CO's 767 and has AVOD and free booze. Plus, if I take KL on this trip, I will get to add two more F100's to the Flightmemory. Hmmm . . . .
