JFK-SFO has been as low as $198 on UA's PS service as a walk-up fare recently. It's slightly fewer miles, but has no positioning costs if you're in NYC.

That's true....and Anne really is a fantastic cook. Her vegetarian stuff (non-vegan) is always excellent so I guess I'm pre-judging based on some of the other vegan dishes I've tried.

Any chance you could PM me that fajita recipie???

what recipe? I make up everything on the fly.

:)

Garlic, salt, pepper (fresh cracked and garlic fresh crushed) marinade with portabella mushrooms put a bit of vege stock if you want to make it more liquidy, for mushrooms it literally takes 15 min or less, not a like a meat.

Then cut up onions and bell peppers, I start them first they take longer to cook down a bit, then put the juice of a lemon or lime on it and add the mushrooms, it will cook into a miracle :D

I forgot to mention, cut the mushrooms into strips like it is a meat, but I figure that much is evident :)

You can probably find some corn to make into corn tortillas that won't have lard in them(not really much of an issue these days tho), like some flour (not an issue for you, but for her maybe, and fresh corn tortilla is the tops!)

How are the UA PS planes configured, First, Business and E+ (no regular economy)?

I love her to death but I'm sorry....vegan food (for the most part) really tastes like you're eating a paper towel roll. I like sushi, chicken, etc. (never been a big beef eater) too much to follow her diet. That being said, I don't ask her to prepare any meat dishes at home for me.

Some vegan food can be tasty. But, it does take a lot of work to make a tasty Vegan meal.

IIRC, Gobo will make vegan dishes and they aren't awful.

An ex of mine had a gluten and dairy allergy along with a belief of not drinking caffeine or consuming sugar. It really put a kink in my morning latte routine.

I have no idea how we survived for as long as we did, I should have walked when I found all of that out.

But co.com clearly states that S fares earn 50%, that is why I am confused at your anger. Maybe I missed part of the story. It was the same with some Skyteam partners where it was 0% 25% 50% EQMS on certain fares.

When you price out the fare it says you will earn 100% mileage credit. I look at that as the same as the price of the ticket. What is listed on the screen at the time is part of the sale. Not some webpage that is not associated with the sale of the ticket.

Yeah, and the E+ is not that big so it is actually pretty nice.

Clearly you need to find someone with a key card you can pull shenanigans on. ;)

It is hard to beat the indian and pakistani vegetarian dishes, but many of them have lots of butter, milk, or cheeses :D That puts a hitch in the vegan part.

However, a samosa with potato, peas and curry is a very sinful delight :D

Well, we've been together for 7+ years and have been through a lot so a dietary change isn't going to send me to the door. :p Gobo is on our list of places to try as is The Candle Cafe on (I think) the upper east side. We've also been to Zen Palate (midtown on the west side) a few times and liked it too.
