I'm really scratching my head on that. What direction is this 40 minutes distance from? (we could take this to talk 2.0 if you want?)

EDIT: Wait until around 1:15 PM tomorrow and call to confirm you Wednesday interview. That puts the ball in their court to cancel and makes you look good for following up and confirming.

It's southwest into the more snow zone.

Family member / friendly Box person in the area? My thought would be "I know serving our clients sometimes requires traversing inclement weather and I would be willing to come in as originally scheduled or the company may reschedule as you see fit". I would think of this as an opportunity to earn points if possible (but 40 minutes in potentially horrible / dangerous weather is )

Even my own mother, who is about as dyed-in-the-wool Republican/Conservative as it gets, voted for Strayhorn last time around. I'm mystified as to where the Perry base is located in the state.

It is the turds out here where I am they are proud of their 'power' at the state convention due to voting for this guy. It turns out the votes for the primary winner determine the split for the amount of resp you get at the larger state conventions later.

I got my travel-size atomic alarm clock today ^ Has a sticker to remind me it keeps "Super Accurate Time".

Why does UA insist on DBCFREE tix as VDB comp instead of dollar vouchers?? My plane is over and I'm flexible but their GA says "free ticket only" as comp. Everyone loses. :(

Seth,

For future reference, ask the gate agent to look up:

S*UAL/DENIED-VDB in their system.

Someone got a hold of the actual text of this message, and here's the relevant parts:
http://www.flyerguide.com/wiki/index...UAL/DENIED-VDB

COMPENSATION *THE DBC FREE TICKET SHOULD BE USED AS THE PRIMARY FORM OF VDB COMPENSATION IN THE 48 CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES. *TRAVEL CREDITS ARE THE PRIMARY FORM OF VDB COMPENSATION IN CANADA*ALASKA*HAWAII*AND INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS FLIGHT PROTECTION COMPENSATION MORE THAN 1 HOUR UP TO 3 HOURS FREE TKT OR $200TC 3 TO 6 HOURS FREE TKT OR $400TC MORE THAN 6 HOURS FREE TKT OR $600TC INTERNATIONAL VARIES SEE »S*UAL/INTL-COMPENSATION

Basically, it's supposed to be your choice, although most GAs default to free tix, even though the savvy mile-earners that we are want TCs so we can earn miles on those tickets. For future reference, tell the gate agent that your next planned United travel purchase will be outside the US, and therefore you'd like travel credits instead. That's worked for me in the past.

Welcome, IAkH.

According to the Delta website:

- If you had previously linked your WorldPerks and SkyMiles accounts, your accounts are in the process of being consolidated. Your miles, Elite Qualifying Miles and Segments, and lifetime EQMs have already been combined. Any changes to Medallion or Million Miler status are already reflected in your account. We are still working to combine the rest of your account information including your tracking and history. We anticipate that all accounts will be fully consolidated over the next month. As soon as we complete the full consolidation, we will advise you via email.

- If you did not have a SkyMiles account or had not previously linked your WorldPerks and SkyMiles accounts, you have been assigned a 10-digit SkyMiles number that will replace your WorldPerks number. This new number will be communicated to you in early October.

Good evening, Box.

UA VDB success. The agent relented and gave me $200 in TCVs for a 2 hour delay. Considering today was a wash anyways I don't mind. In the "high b" RCC now for another hour or so.

Didn't read far enough down the page before hitting reply. Looks like you got exactly what you were entitled to in the first place for the delay.

Welcome to the Box, IAkH!

What is your primary program right now?

Welcome IAhK.

Family, no. Box, no. Closest Boxer that I know of is Claudio_1E. Going that far south defeats the purpose.

Noted and declined. I am being extremely superstitious and not even saying the name of the property unnecessarily.

Edit: did not see that edit. Will call. Thought you were referring to the 2.0 reference.
