So, aside from SQ, which airlines should I consider on a US-Europe-Asia trek?
Something like EWR-FRA(LH)-FRA-BKK(TG)-BKK-SIN(SQ). There are lots of fun options, but i would consider LH and LX on the transatlantic legs. |

You can do a mix.

I remember reading somewhere that NZ flights are nearly impossible with UA miles...hopefully CO miles prove easier to use in that case for you.
But CO/BD miles should be a valid option. Though i'd be torn between VS or NZ on LAX-LHR personally. |

Wizard, if you are doing runs out of PHL, do let me know. Even if I can't go flying, I will at the very least meet you for drinks or some such. :-:

Now, if only I could get back there during the afternoon. Sadly my next trip to LON is on DL burning some miles. At least I get ATL-LGW before they drop it. |

Correct, UA will not allow you to redeem for the LAX-LHR flight since they fly the same route.

That is a tough decision...aren't both though similar styles of seats? For me, I'd go NZ just because I could probably grab a flight on VS easier than one on NZ.
