Well looks like with all these change order$$$$ for the roof repair, it's a good idea I persuaded my Daughter that June of this year for a wedding was pushing it.
Otherwise she might be just going to the JOP and enjoying a txi ride round the block

I told her I likely couldn't find reward tickets on such short notice, especially those that did not require more.

Renting has its potential downsides, for sure: noisy neighbors, indifferent management, limited control over one's water and electricity bills, etc.

But, there's no guarantee that homeowners will ever see a return on their "investment," much less break even.

ETA: This article from the New York Times entitled "This Very, Very Old House" is one of my favorite on the matter of houses and their return.
