Yes the sky has opened up and I have started to float the Ark. I have an inch of standing water surrounding my house this morning and more is falling out of the sky. :eek: And this isn't the worst storm, that's coming tomorrow. My daughter's first day at college has been canceled due to a power outage. On a brighter note, I earned 1.25 hours of overtime last night. And not a single bag was delayed, except for some poor guy that flew in from Lagos and two re-routes from AA. ^ |

What flights are you on? Note the Marriott's are also cheap that weekend - the Courtyard is at $79 - other FS Marriotts are in the low $100 range. |

ALCO, the LM in SFO has a prepaid rate of $119/night that Hartmann and I both picked up. While I could potentially see a Starpick rate of maybe $109, I figured $119 is still a pretty good deal there.
I made it home finally at 1:30 this morning!! After driving home in Fog from OKC for 1.5 hours. I meet someone at the airport last night and had a good conversation with them but also missed out on VDB! The irony of the VDB is the person that took it was a guy from the fraternity house that I worked at and was going to try and upgrade. Of course I almost missed the flight as well. OPPS!! |

So roof change order just added 1800.00 to cost of repair-dammmmmmmmmmmmmn
in 1960 when the house was built, 1x6 was used as sheathing material and the thought of staggering the seams I guess had not been heard of and butting the sides flush must have cost extra back then. There are many places where the gaps are +2". In addition nails with gripper grooves at the bottom had I guess not been invented. New POA is to cover the 1x6 with 1/2"ply but that's going to require some extra bracing of the roof rafters(2x4 connecting the ridge line on every member as opposed to the 1 by that is now on every other one) stay tuned to this b:rolleyes:x channel for further breaking updates |
