Numbers 17 and 141 maybe.

G'morning, Box. My new schedule sucks. Way too exhausting to last. Good thing it is really only through next Wednesday - at least as of now - that I get to work two jobs.

Your working early AM's all the way through 8 PM right now? I think my limit on doing that is about 2 weeks.

my seat has a new memory foam type padding that is quite uncomfortable. it feels like I am sitting on a pile of lumpy laundry

I know the Y seats in the 752 haven't been holding up very well, especially the arm rests

Safeway's TravelMed service got back to me. Looks like their physician recommends I get Hep A&B Vaccine, Yellow Fever Vaccine (required), DPT Booster, Typhoid Vaccine (oral, at least), and a script for altitude-sickness pills.

That's going to be a lot of shots. I hate shots.

If you hate needles, why are you doing this trip? If it'sthe same rare air pills I had, google the stuff and find out what it was orginally developed for. It will explain any snarky remarks from the pharmacy.

There are a lot of countries I'd like to travel to that require a Yellow Fever Vaccination. I might as well get it out of the way at some point. It's good for 10 years, so that gives me a nice window to explore places like Surinam, Sub-Saharan Africa, parts of Southeast Asia, etc. Figure I might as well get the Hep A&B and DPT Booster while I'm at the sawbones. I'm going to get stuck, regardless. When life hands you , make :rolleyes::rolleyes:.

I'm not sure I'd buy the altitude sickness pills unless you are really sensitive to changes. After doing the weekend in UIO and climbing to around 13,000 feet, I wasn't winded, just a little tired.

I got pretty sick once at Keystone, Colorado, which is considerably lower than some areas in Bolivia that I'll be visiting. However, it could have had something to do with drinking lots of Kahlua and Tequila. :-:

ALCO -- you could get some EMLA cream -- the stuff that numbs up the skin -- I've used it on my kids when they were younger! It's de rigueur in Brasil!^

Whoa! Altitude-pills side-effects include kidney stones. Those are off the list. Am not going through :-:that:-: again.

Got a question for experts in the Box. I was at IAH terminal E yesterday just after 4 PM to drop off my kid. The check-in area was deserted. Is this normal or has travel load dropped so much?

The odd thing about altitude sickness is that it can be quite random. You may be at 10,000 feet up and have no problems one day, but be sick at 7,500 feet up a few weeks later.

After noon on weekday (except Thursday/Friday) at E is pretty deserted.
