They offer you something pretty similar to girls on check-in there. Once you get past the red eyes and scales, it's supposed to be kind-of okay. :-:

I had a similar problem to baglady a few weeks ago. I let it slip while at the Marriott in Baton Rouge to their wonderful concierge that I had been in town the previous week and stayed at a Hilton property because I needed the points. It was almost like admitting to one's significant other that you've had an affair with someone else.

I reminded her I ended up the year with just shy of 90 nights in Marriott properties (although 20 or so of those are bonus night credits, so I only stayed about 80), and that I had top tier status in four programs. She just told me that she didn't care about other cities, but when in Baton Rouge, I needed to stay in her Marriott. And then she comped me my two glasses of wine that night.

It's difficult when you build that relationship. I've been staying at the MR for over 15 years. My old relationship was getting stale (not the concierge, the hotel) and boring, so I started seeking out greener pastures. I know exactly what you are saying!!!

We need another NYC area Do in February. It's been over a week since I've been to one.

That is a nice HGI, especially if you land a room in the university wing. I've never stayed in a standard HGI room there.

I haven't been to that hotel in a while, though, as the Renaissance LAX has been winning out lately for me when I need a stay near that airport.

All those who have hotels booked for Saturday night will be getting points for unused rooms, as most of Teh Box will be passed out in various locations around Casa de Bag. Sunday morning at the house will look like Jonestown, the morning after. :D

Start planning for 2011, when hopefully Keynote speaker sbm12 and Lampmaster General CO 1E return.

There are certain times of the year when I could have a pretty instantaneous affirmative. Getting a little behind - it's now actually snowing in BNA, which delayed acquired Woodford from the trunk.

I'd be interested -- unless someone has already responded!:-:

My dilemma in Baton Rouge is that the Marriott has, by far, the best staff in town, and the best lounge in the evenings. The Hilton's lounge has better breakfast, though, and while the rooms at the Hilton are smaller, I prefer the furnishings in them. They also have faster Internet. The Sheraton is fine, but totally dull, and the lounge is the worst of the three. However, given my limited access to SPG properties while traveling for work at times, I often need that hotel to help keep my status there.
