Hilton and AAA have never gotten along, IME. Every time I try to look for AAA rates, they are higher than a normal rate plugged in with commission diverted to my mother.

It's an ongoing bonus offer where, depending on the hotel, you can get 1000-1500 points with a qualifying rate (sometimes restricted to the weekend).

G2 = 2,000. Reason I'm happy to get Friday and Sunday in HP BNA Airport.

Wow. I'm surprised. They must not like you ;)

Some hotels do, Teh W in Istanbul gave me a room at around 730 AM for an early check-in to rest until my suite was ready later.

I have read some pretty poor reviews of the PH PHL. It's in a great old building but the consensus on FT and TripAdvisor is that it's pretty tired. For New Years' Eve we almost stayed there to burn a FFN but I didn't want to risk disappointing my wife.

If you do come here, let me know.

With Choice, government rate usually owns. With Hilton, I use the federal government contractor. With Hyatt, AAA tends to rule. I get the luxury of trying all three.

If someone speaks to you and you don't answer, isn't that called ignoring the conversation?

Reminds me of some of the best dialogue from The Painted Veil:
Kitty Fane: It's raining cats and dogs.
Kitty Fane: I said it's raining cats and dogs.
Walter Fane: Yes, I heard you.
Kitty Fane: You might have answered.
Walter Fane: I suppose I'm not used to speaking unless I've something to say.
Kitty Fane: If people only spoke when they had something to say, the human race would soon lose the power of speech.

Yep, pretty much sums it up

If it's as  as the new Westin in Tampa, don't get your hopes up (surly staff, had to drag a junior suite upgrade out of them, with emphasis on the junior - a love-seat in a standard room a suite doth not make).

Oh well, it's been a while since I wrote a nastygram review of an SPG property. Nice of Tampa to give me the opportunity. :-:

I should tell you - I saw the Facebook update that you changed your cell number, and I added you to my phone book with :rollpuck: as your title...little did I know that starting with a colon would vault you to the top position in the phone book, above even the A's.

Used to know the concierge there, and the greatest upside to PH PHL is the location. Palm on the first floor, Morton's across the street. If you two got together the table talk would be spectacular...and I'm not being sarcastic.

San Cristobal Tower in Chile did this for me. That's because Chile is the best country in Sudamerica. :-:
