I reminded her I ended up the year with just shy of 90 nights in Marriott properties (although 20 or so of those are bonus night credits, so I only stayed about 80), and that I had top tier status in four programs. She just told me that she didn't care about other cities, but when in Baton Rouge, I needed to stay in her Marriott. And then she comped me my two glasses of wine that night.

Hilton LAX Airport competed for me against the HGI for a while - I got $88 at worst average per night every day of the week and free parking before I saw the light.

What are the dates on this?

See, this is what happens when I let work get in the way of me hanging out in here. I miss important things.

You need to make it back up to the frozen tundra land or the Northeast. Of course now I could do DC with the Amtrak voucher I got from my  trip.

The Renaissance ain't cheap, but I've managed to get rooms there on average of around $110/night. That's significantly cheaper than the normal rates. Parking still costs, and Internet isn't free, but they have a great lounge, cool views of the arriving aircraft on the northern runways, and it's more convenient to the rental car return and the terminals than the HGI. They've also been one of the few Marriotts to hook me up with a suite upgrade, and when they did, it was one of the nicest and largest suites I've ever stayed in.

We need another NYC area Do in February. It's been over a week since I've been to one.

Come to BNA and we'll make an impromptu Do. We'll go out shooting, drinking, singing, stir up trouble, and dine at F Scotts (probably not that order). F Scotts being the restaurant that's 50% off when seated after 9 p.m.
