Merry Christmas to everyone!

So, not being around the Box for a week or two, I ask What's going on Box???

I have been swamped this month with work and other personal commitments . I cannot believe that I have not had time to check in here more this month.

I am done with the kitchen renovation for now (project is on hold) because of a cash flow problem (I aint got none) :p. The trans blew on my truck and that ended up costing me about $2,500 and I have been helping a friend with a total bathroom renovation and seemed to have racked up another $2K on my CO PP card for him  I know he will pay me for it and I put the charges on my card to earn the points, but I just don’t like seeing a balance of $5K on my card, it gives me the shakes.

In other news, our UA reservation for HNL went through a slew of schedule changes over the past few months and I just got around to checking them now. I had SFO as my connection point in March because there was no way I was going to gamble with ORD or god forbid DEN. Well I checked the reservation today and they changed all my flights and had me connecting in ORD  I was dreading having to call their ICC, but when I called I told the automated system I wanted to purchase an international ticket and that connected me to a North American based agent. The agent was semi-competent and with some coaching from me, I was now booked on a CO code share flight to SFO

Oh sad - I'm not back in town till 1/4.

I'm starting to get concerned...I have my CLE-DFW-EWR trip booked for 1/1 and 1/4, but nothing beyond that! I don't think I've had NO upcoming itineraries since August 2008 - must do something about this before then... :)

Perhaps when I am through EWR on my Jan MR?

Mine weren't problems as such, just took me about two hours with an SD and a thumb drive to move pictures between two computers. I am seeing a HS friend this weekend and thought I woul dbring plenty of stuff to show him what I have been up to! :)

LOL... I do find it funny that CO uses *G on BPs. But I suspect they all do that.

Well I am going to do a little surfing and then off to bed.. 4:45 will come soon!

That's very ^. Tons of good restaurant options in the area. Let's talk tomorrow or on the 25th.

Silly me for thinking that UA issued the CO flight correctly. I have spent 2 hours back and forth with UA and CO and just had to end a conf call with the both because the ICC agent did not under stand what the problem was and wanted to just email me the reservation.

So not worth bothering to get fixed. You've got the MQMs you need for whatever status you're going to have. Just let it go.

Let's take IAH-FRA-DRS as example and pretend that FRA-DRS is on CO metal (this is the itin I have pulled up so it was the easiest to use). With the 500 mile EQM minimum, my EQM earnings are 5,731.

The RDM earnings are based on base miles, so I'd only get 241 miles for FRA-DRS + 5,231 for IAH-FRA = 5,472.

How do the bonuses work then? I get 25% for PP and 25% because I'm a Plat correct? 5,472 * 1.5 for RDM mileage?

RDM bonuses are now based on the 500 mile minimums, I believe.

Ditto on all accounts!

I've decided that I do celebrate Christmas. Any excuse to not work and for which I can have a free vacation day is a celebration in my book. :D

At the OKC airport and flight is oversold but they already bumped two people to another airline. UA is trying to put people on this flight and selling seats not there. CO EX is doing a charter out of their old gate and serving food on board according to the announcemennt they made. No ice or snow yet but we will have to de-ice on the way out. AA is saying they are leaving the gate 10 mins early to de-ice. That seems a little exterme but then again if the snow and ice is to be here at 7 am I can understand. Hope everyone has a great travel day if your traveling!
