Going to fire up the BBQ tonight. It was an excellent day -- I fell asleep by the pool for about 45 minutes. Best darn sleep I have gotten in weeks!

Not a bad way to end the day. Today was cleaning in preparation for parental arrival later this week (both sets, should be a barn burner) and spending $500 we don't have on fixing my wife's car now lest the engine explode. Now she's watching some girly movie (The Holiday, me thinks) and I took this opportunity to reconfigure my home network to move from my Cisco 881 back to my trusty m0n0wall setup (and update its software). All in all, a productive day. ^

*WHAT* new 8830 OS? I haven't found anything new since the last 4.x release.

Edit: Since 4.5.0.138 (Vzw).... although I now see an updated 4.5 dated 12/17/09....

The OS updates for Verizon and Sprint will likely lag what RIM releases by months as any update to software, no matter how minor, requires full device requal for CDMA parametric performance in Verizon labs (or their third party lab the vendor still has to pay).

That's actually not an atrocious movie. It is femme but it's funny.

Have I mentioned how much I loathe VZW and to a larger extent CDMA?

I'm rather excited that Tmo has released plans that give you a discount in exchange of no longer subsidizing phones. The rep I spoke to today said they are giving the EU model a try in an effort to give folks more choice in phones. ^^

Tonight's fried chicken was a success, but I can improve upon it with some minor changes. I didn't have all the necessary ingredients at my disposal tonight...

Gonna wait til the end of the Devils game to do the backup and OS. Got a radio feed and a real-time Web scoreboard, so it's not all that bad.

I've fired up the BBQ in snow/sleet ... You can't beat the BBQ for cooking some items!

I'm running a RIM 5.0.0.348 release on my T-Mobile phone.
