! Looks like someone picked the wrong day to .

There's a wedding reception getting fired up across the street from where I am right now. It's in an enclosed tent, but still.

DCA and IAD just officially shut down until tomorrow morning (they were already in a de facto state of shutdown anyway).

It's weird that the FAA map isn't showing this yet. In fact the only delays the maps is currently showing is ORD.

DCA's runways are closed until 6:00 am tomorrow. Apparently, one runway still is open at IAD, so it is not officially "closed," but hardly any flights are operating except a handful of international arrivals.

When I worked at DCA from 1994-1996, we had those two blizzards back-to-back and yet the GM refused to give us a "snow day" because the airport was still officially open. So I got dinged for not being able to drive into work since my street had not been plowed for 4 days and I lived 35 miles north of the airport and got even more snow than the airport.

It's a dry heat.;) Turtleneck, sweatshirt, jeans.

At 20 degrees outside right now, it's almost balmy compared to the last 5 days. Not 1 snow flake.

You do live near a train station that goes to the airport if it gets too bad. ;)

I drove them to the airport. It wasn't bad at all. Roads were clear, just a small amount of icy rain/snow type stuff falling. I'm really hoping that we miss the big stuff.

Greetings from beautiful PSP. Below the 8-10,000 snowcapped mountains, it is already 75 degrees at 10:15 am. Teh Box may be poolside before the day is over. Need Kona Longboard Ale for the day!

Can I come to live with you? :D
