Hmmm...so 24 hours from now I'll be sitting upstairs on SQ headed to FRA. I haven't started packing yet and I'll be gone for 12 days. Even more serious, the trip involves the missus so randomly showing up at hotels without reservations isn't recommended. Oh, and I'm pretty drunk right now after a great happy hour.

That's not a problem, right?? :D :p :D

I think this is where you look at her and say "Trust me... I'm a professional" :p

And of course, showing up at hotels without reservations might not work, but you can always book said hotels that morning before you get on the plane to the next city.

Many have heard my fun story -- I bought a vacation condo, thinking it would keep us from the horrible weekend travel thing. I bought after market started tanking -- great move. ^ 18 months after buying, I walked into the place and discovered that a pipe had burst under the slab. Well, OK, at least I have insurance -- yeah, but you lose the place for 6 months! :mad:

It is rebuilt to my own standards -- the place is wonderful, but I still notice the fact that I need to replace all of the electrical sockets to make them uniform. It is stuff like that which makes me happy that we rent for our primary residence.

All of that said, I am so happy to have a place of my own! :-: The rent vs. own thing is more than just the economics, IMHO...

Apparently I'm off to sleep now. Makes sense since I have to pack in the morning.

And so long as it is sufficiently moist without being heavy like a brick I'm OK with the banana bread not having choco chips. But it is better that way. ;)
