Stupid recession.

I fully expected to walk into BestBuy today and actually buy all the stuff on my list. It was all gone though. Every frigging thing. Who's buying all the cr*p I was looking for?

Oh well. Guess I'll have to resort to cash or something. LOL

Have you tried bestbuy.com and checked in-store pickup? That's a good way of checking inventory that may not be on the shelves.

Well I'm too broke to do anything on NYE this year so otherwise I would say I'd be interested.

You can also earn CO miles by using the OnePass mall when shopping that way. I do it for nearly all my Best Buy purchases.

I did this yesterday and while both items were in stock, the pick up process was extremely painful and fraught with prime examples of how humanity has generally gone right to hell and no one thought to stop for ice cream on the way.

Thanks for validating our thought -- a little creativity with a Costco gift item = good office karma.

BTW, we went to store today, and I got Beck's rebate -- I thought of you! $60 groceries; $8 back on beer. 8 days of food...

Y9ou have obviously been taking notes when icurhere2 has been lecturing ...:D

And quite right, too! 60 degrees is downright frigid in my book! :D:D:D

Sounds yummy ..... if only I were a little closer to ACY. We're having chicken/cheese/rosemary ravioli with a creamy tomato sauce.

My SFO-GEG flight upgraded to a CR7 so I had them move me to F. :D

I'm doing that run the weekend of Jan 10th. I have had so many "changes". I shall have to look and see what's up.

I'll be there the weekend of Jan 10th. fly in to position on Jan 9th.

Yes! We'd be up for the show, but not the ball dropping.

Understand. Well I get a new line, new plane, new city, new lounges, and free drinks. Seems worth it to me. All at the same cost as Y. Not the best to spend all those miles but spent too much and this will allow me to take the trip! I will get the following for the first time!

CRJ-700 First (twice)
737-400 First
New lines:
ORD-LGA
EWR-CLT
CLT-IAH
New Airport - CLT
New Lounges - CLT, LGA, ORD

Oh and I get to see Pam Ann in NYC on NYE!! I am so looking forward to this. Kinda wish I could stay over to Saturday but I need to get back to take a drive to SAT that Saturday to go to career advisor at UTSA, see friends in SAT, and MR out of SAT! Priorities!!

Scott6067
Steve GadFly +1
Brituchenite +1

Any one else?

I've had a few experiences with their in-store pickup that weren't so great — long lines, slow service, or being told "This item was out of stock" only to go back and look myself and find it on the shelf, exactly where it was supposed to be, and in a sufficient quantity that it should't have been difficult to spot. But usually I've found it pretty painless. It tends to be worse this time of year.

I just did an order with the Best Buy in my neighborhood that I'll pick up tomorrow. I'm going to try and walk over and be there right around the time they open, before they get too busy.

hee! hee! hee!

mnmag is much better at it than me, though! she is more thorough.

I lurk a lot! Or, if I haven't had the time to look a the Box during the day, I try to catch up in the evening, and inevitably there are hundreds of posts to catch up on! :D

Cooking dinner at the moment. Chicken/cheese/rosemary ravioli with a creamy tomato sauce (sort of a pink sauce that I made up!)
