Nifty; I'll have to look for Jan 15-17 because we're doing the grand opening of the new JW resort northeast of SAT on Jan 22.

If you're there, let us know; we will be there that weekend. Saw the new JW resort, as well as the new JW in LAX. I love the Westin La Canterra so much, I'll have a tough time switching.

Yep, $50 on AAA rate up in Addison right off the tollway. I think someone is getting a surprise trip to Dallas next month. :D

Le Meridien is showing $85! What to do, what to do?

After playing around with ITA, CO.com, and Excel I have figured out that I probably need about 7 same-day west coast fares. I can reasonably expect two Florida trips in 2010; one MCO and one FLL. I'm really kicking myself now for not having jumped on DCA-SFO. This equation subject to change if we end up going to PVR on that bridal show timeshare thingamabob.

Great...I join the PC on Saturday, and I just got an e-mail from CO saying new members get the initiation waived, plus an option of either 5k RDMs or 1k EQMs.

What costs (financial, not opportunity) might one incur on the PVR thingamabob?

That's a nice place. It's probably my favorite of the places I've stayed around that part of the Metroplex. Why is it so inexpensive?

I was...basically had I waited 2 days, I would have gotten 5k RDMs and still not need to pay the initiation fee.

Crap, I just remembered that we're trying to buy a house. I somehow doubt that our weekends are going to be free for a while.

Sounds familiar. I found out last night that the builders of the condo we are trying to buy (in contract) have decided to increase prices in excess of 25% of what are paying. I would normally not care but in order to get a traditional loan they need to have 70% of the units in contract before closing and 51% in contract before I can lock a rate. They are at 42% and they arnt going to sell anything at 25% more than what we paid for the same unit only 1 floor higher. What morons to do this in a crap economy when they have already had to extend their loan from the bank. They are going to lose their ....

Just the air and transfers, I think. All-inclusive hotel property of some sort.

I found the Grand Hyatt Washington D.C. for $84 last night - the month wrapped around the holidays is awful for occupancy rates.

How long do you get to stay and how long would wedding timeshare commitment be?

Ah...I normally forego hotels in Chicago for staying in my friend's condo in Lincoln Park. Points are great...free is better.
