Long as you're not locked up it's all good. Bail $$ hard to come by during the holiday season

Sooooooo frustrating.

Brit,

I went through a total rebuild (mostly insurance paid) on my vacation home last year. Process included teardowm, mold remediation and rebuild with ongoing inspections. One story still comes to mind -- On final inspection, the sadistic inspector decided that there were an inadequate number of electrical outlets in the kitchen, and the GC had to get a crew in to rip out the backsplash and install 2 electrical outlets, which were not there in the original unit. Because contractor was booked, I lost another month in the place over stupid electrical outlets that we never use.

The silver lining to the rebuild was that the GC accepted credit cards, and the entire rebuild was charged on my AA miles card!

If I was as frustrated as I was over my second home, I can only imagine your "dismay" over your primary residence...

TG :)

Sorry for the troubles.:( (But I pay really good money to hear the above.;)) Knowing the delays and  I've gone through with my little projects around the house, I can't imagine what's it's like trying to deal with all these people when building a house.

(2) I-95 vanishes for a while in NJ
But the point is well taken. You could take the choo choo, but that's not convenient from your side of the river, or you could take any of the 20 daily LGA-PHL flights.

Not that I have any idea of what's going on in Center City Phila -- we went out to dinner and a concert last year but I'm sure there's more lively stuff going on. We are more the sit at home and wonder why Dick Clark hasn't retired yet type.

Yes. The problem is getting there. Flights are .

Oh yeah, had forgotten about that part. Getting back on the 2nd was the problem; going down to FLL on the 31st is OK.

That is not at all trivial. I'm surprised that the basement contractor would do that in this economy, but I guess I shouldn't be.

Serenity now.

I can imagine how frustrated and crazed you were over that. I think I will be ready to commit hari-kiri if that happens with us!

What's worse is that I was in Costco at the time. Fortunately, it wasn't busy and there weren't many people in the aisle I was in ....:eek:
