It barfed on me when I tried to grab any of the preferred seats by leverage *G. And I was certainly not going to pay them! :eek:

I called, told them I was *G, and I got exit rows. Looks like Is Possible.

I was not elite at the time this ticket was purchased, so for this trip I had to call, and despite the agent being barely comprehendable, I got the exit row aisle both ways.
I know the main forum would have just erupted with disapproval, but a part of me really hoped that CO and US would have extended reciprocal EUA benefits as well. Every once in a great while, a work situation comes up that leaves me no choice to to fly US. Being a CO elite and being able to upgrade on US would not be a bad thing IMHO. I also have never bought the mass migration theories that are often posed when people suggest reciprocal EUA benefits.

I made the crazy SAT thing work, but it's over 5cpm. Combined with two hotel nights, that's ugly.

1/22/10: PHL-BOS-CLT-SAT
1/23/10: SAT-IAH-BOS-IAH-SAT
1/24/10: SAT-CLT-PIT-PHL

Hmmm... just read SBM12s blog about the ALL You CAN FLy slae and thinking since I have no job in JAN, perhaps staying over for a few weeks in Germany is now warranted!! Need some new lines.

It starts on the 15th. You could just delay coming home from PRG.

But be careful. Condor has pretty much decimated their winter schedule so there aren't a ton of flights. Combine it with all fights must be r/t (no open jaws) and the options are pretty limited.

I haven't had any luck getting E+ on UA flights. Apparently some people have reported success at the airport, but not in advance.

There's a definite way of getting E+ without paying. Can [currently] only be done at the airport though.
