Good morning Box. Stay warm out there where ever you are. Time to go lecture for 3.5 hours.

Good morning, Box. |
Morning, Box. Lewis Black's long Minnesota winter has invaded New Jersey.

G'morning, Box. Got an email overnight from the FAM fired for discussing documents that were classified after the fact. Very interesting view of the TSA from that side.
I wonder if I'll continue to be stonewalled by the TSA today on my inquiries. On the plus side, I was able to OLCI last for tonight's flight so it looks like security today should be a non-event. |

A FAM was fired for discussing something that was not classified at the time of the discussion, but later classified? The only reason I have ever known of to put a classification on something after its release is to keep people quiet about its contents or to do damage control. Sounds like wrongful termination.
Which biz is better on AA, the 767 or the 757? Looks like the 75s are trul flat and the 76s are angled. Anything else? |
Morning, Box!
Hope you are all staying nice an warm. It is definitely brisk here on the North Coast. Had an interesting flight last night... CO2658. Started out with a guy jamming a suitcase in the O/H bin on the ERJ... (this same guy does this every Mon/Thurs, even though the FA warns him not to), and this time, he blew the bin apart. The door was jammed, and in trying to unjam it, they broke the door and caused the entire panel below it to fall off. The capt and F/O came out to try to fix it, and they ultimately cleared that row (luckily there were two other seats, otherwise those px would have been stranded), and they duct taped the bin closed. Then, when we started rolling down the runway at DFW, an incredibly loud noise started - which sounded like a blower, but also had this sucking sound to it. It was so loud from rows 6-12 that we couldn't hear the FA at all. When she finally heard it, she was on the phone with the pilot for a while, and we started to descend. The sound was intermittent, but stayed just as loud. They finally determined it was a problem with an air conditioning unit, so they descended, flew at a slower speed, but we (thankfully) didn't have to divert. We lost all our advantage from the incredible tail wind last night... but landed safely at CLE about 30 minutes late. Not bad for all that. Home safely :) BTW - Cleveland looked great from the air as we landed. Browns game was still going on, and the city looked amazing. Seriously :) |
