Ok all you job hunting Boxers - I just submitted a resume online and omitted a piece of software on my resume that the company indicates as a *plus*. I have tons of experience with it. Do I leave it alone or resubmit? I'm so confused...

I'd resubmit. It may be the one thing that gets you noticed.

Belay the order to par-tay over that great last min fare..

I might have really stepped in it.. so to speak. Looking at the flights and the fact that my ticket isn't "ticketing" (as in i'm showing as upgraded in the upgrade list for some flights but not there at all for others) I may be getting to deal with downgrade compensation. Yay.

That would be an amazingly good use of a SWU if you can find that in the second half of the year.

A $99 rate at the Marriott would probably see me stay at the Marriott.

If work is paying, then I'd go for the points. BOS is not always snowed in.

The Le Meridien is only $10 more.

A whole different conundrum is figuring out how to get to BOS. I have to be in SAT the day before and could score some awesome lines (SAT-SFO-BOS or SAT-IAD-BOS) but they would require me to fly UA in Y rather than having a chance for an upgrade.

Looking at the map, that's about a 20-minute walk around the edge of the MIT campus. IME winter in Boston is cold -- the wind can be terrible, lots of black ice on the sidewalks -- but not usually snowy. You can't really take the T, since you'd have to walk 10 minutes in the wrong direction to get to Central Square.

I am probably a bad source of advice, though, because I tend to stay in a hotel as close to my place of business as possible unless there is a huge difference in price. I suppose it depends on what the rate at the LM is and how badly you want the points. The only other SPG property I know of around there is the Sheraton Commander in Cambridge, which is two T stops away near Harvard Square.

And it does help that Dave Lau posted it; he's a pretty cool guy, and I think he'd let me play with his cameras. :-:

Yes - it would make me look better.. but the other stuff they advert in the job listing I can do standing on my head with two hands tied behind my back. :D

..but.. that one item might set me apart -and I agree with you. Arrrgh! :D I'm preparing a separate verision now for a re-submit.
