What are the rules regarding a *G accessing a LH SEN lounge on a domestic itinerary (BD Gold and CO Plat)?

I wanted to try out all the lounges at BOS.

As a *G of any sort you are supposed to be able to get into non-CO/US/UA lounges designated as *G lounges as long as you have a same-day *A ticket. There are threads in the UA forum about getting into LH lounges in DTW and IAD (consensus is it is theoretically possible though the lounge attendants may incorrectly deny access). The issue at BOS may be getting beyond security in Terminal E (where LH is). I'm pretty sure there is no way to change terminals airside at BOS.

ETA what did you decide to do about the hotel?

Didn't think about the terminal situation but I believe you're right, it's not possible to get to E (or even to the RCC).

I think I am going to try out the Westin Copley Place and take the train to Kendall and then do the Le Meridien the next night. Still haven't fully decided.

My flights are booked, but I may change them if CO drops the o/w price for BOS-IAH. SAT-IAD-BOS is a FM line I'd love to have and for $89 I'm willing to put up with Y.

It shouldn't be too hard to book it on co.com as long as the flight times line up. Since it's considered HNL-GUM if you do it without stopping over. I've seen it as an option before.

From experience, I had absolutely no issues walking into the IAD-Senator lounge while on a UA trip.

Sadly there is no way to change airside anymore. Though, according to the US in-flight guide, they still run the shuttle. Though an agent confirmed it hasn't run for years.

I've never had a problem getting into the IAD SEN lounge using my BD card on domestic itineraries.
