And we Brits will never stop thanking this great nation for coming to our aid. One of the most poignant things I think I ever saw was when the Queen allowed teh Star Spangled Banner to be played at the changing of the guard on the day after 9/11. The only time in history that anything other than the National Anthem has been played. I think this sums up the general feeling towards America by the Brits. (Of course, there are always teh detractors - but, meh, to them!) |

Back from my colonoscopy. All is well. Dr. was very pleased with my colon and gave me an A+. (Probably TMI for many people, but hey, a girl has to celebrate having a clean colon ::):!!!) First thing I did was have a nice cuppa tea! And then, some delicious avocado on lightly toasted bread with a sprinkle of black pepper and lemon juice. mmmmmmmmm! good! |
