I am honestly more concerned about Plus1's grandmother. I feel as if we're living in a soap opera and not in a good way. It is complete
I hope you feel better soon! |

Possibly. It seems that a relative of one of her caregivers is an issue. Plus1 is a rock.
That's when the problems really started to happen....thanks to my sister. I learned my lesson in that you can not trust anyone, including your own family, to do the correct and proper things. I'm still dealing with the fallout almost a year later and she smiled all the way to the bank. |

OMG.....I saw those advertised and I couldn't believe my eyes. There is a lady that walks her dog every morning and she has the dog dressed in a matching jacket and shoes. And this is a dog with lots of fur.

I went through something similar with my father. He thought he could go back to his condo, have his part time caretaker that just happened to live two doors down from him, take care of him. He assumed that she would be available via the phone when he needed her. After he fell for the second time in one day and since she refused to pick him up and called the paramedics to do the task, he ended up in a nursing home.

Wow, I am sorry to hear about the situation. We are experiencing same thing with my dad -- I have care management firm contacts if you need them...
Now I am dealing with why you should always use a lawyer and not believe your family members when they say they will do the "right" thing. My current problem is dad's condo. Very long story but now the State of NC is demanding repayment of his cost of care and his half of the condo is barely worth those fees. Plus there is my mother (my parents were separated) not wanting to deal with anything of my father. And my sister who pocketed the leftover money before I could do anything about it. Maybe Plus1 and I should compare notes. :D |

Yes, I think you both have similar situations. Her caretaker posed as a family member and said she was taking her to xxx's house for her recovery. Um, no foxtrotting way. It's so surreal I just am waiting to wake up. Then Plus1ex called and wants to talk with me tomorrow. Hey, I let people into my lane without blinkers; I let people go ahead of me in line. KARMA, whiskey tango foxtrot have I done?

I hate to bully into his life, but it is necessary for the continuity of management of his life. |
