Are you on UA? That's the usual pattern (and I have to say, I'm as guilty of that as the next guy). Part of the reason is that only GS, 1K and F board on the red carpet, so there are often many 1Ps and 2Ps standing around jockeying for position.

The worst fans I have ever encountered were, hands down, Colorado. As the Texas Tech players came out of the tunnel in Boulder, a shower of batteries and quarters hit them. Talk about classless.

We used to throw tortillas, but what's the harm in a little maize?

P.S. - I don't see the big deal with the duck, especially if, like you say, it's going to be fine. This is the type of thing that is in movies, spray painting or kidnapping another team's mascot or some other similar deed.

I would love to say I am kidding about tech. I took my parents on a tour of UT freshman year and the tech fans had spray painted yalls TT everywhere.

Also, nothing wrong with a little maize until you schlac it. Then it becomes a solid disk. Though CU and their battery laced marshmellows is just as bad.

Tech has some of the worst fans in college football. Not that everyone is like that, but it is true.

We had some losers come up from Sam Houston to SFA and spray paint stuff. It was the lamest school spirit fight ever. :rolleyes:

On a whole, I'd say that our fans aren't as bad as everyone thinks they are.

There are a few bad seeds but they're at every school, sadly you experienced a few of them.

I was walking around the UT campus before the game two years ago and had a beer bottle thrown at me by a UT fan. Does that mean UT fans are terrible? No, it means that idiot didn't get enough hugs when he was little.

What I usually see is the red carpet open and everybody and their little brother (often, though not always, in Zone 4) blocking the economy lanes. When I've been in F it's been a clear shot at the carpet.
