I just checked the stats for my blog. Apparently my post about the TSA document is popular. Like 8,000 views since I posted it. I never really expected that much traffic. :D

Even better, some of them seem to be clicking on the ads. I wonder how many will be repeat readers. I know for sure that my stats next week are going to be terribly skewed.

It was indeed a good post. I didn't download the document in question but I appreciate others' work to expose lunacy.

There's a thread over in SkyTeam USA-land where someone complains that the fares on the ATL-MIA route went up after Georgia Tech got an invite to the Orange Bowl. There's your  of the first half of the workday.

Oh come now Professor ...;) would it be good ol' FT if someone weren't complaining about something (unjustified or otherwise)?:D

I love subtle advertising. I’m watching a BBC program from Saturday night and all the people are reading the important political headlines in the newspaper and one person doesn’t care and says ‘God, cheap flights are back. Something here from Continental. Go to New York.”

Back from my colonoscopy. All is well. Dr. was very pleased with my colon and gave me an A+. (Probably TMI for many people, but hey, a girl has to celebrate having a clean colon ::):!!!)

I used to work in a hospital and would regularly be thumbing through medical records trying to find something and then boom, high resolution colon scope pictures. It was either a good day or a bad day from then on, depending on whether or not I had already eaten lunch. :-:

All the WN legs for the Rose Bowl are zeroed out, reportedly.

A few years ago, the NYC-PHX fares went crazy for OSU-UF
I flew US , last year we went down the day of the game on B6.

Yeah, I need to check the price gouging for the CMH - LAX flights around NYE. It will also be curious to see who has added segments to support the Buckeye fans journey to the left coast.

icurhere2 Dec 7, 2009 11:37 am

The current discussion has me researching my outbound itinerary for the Olympics, the day of the Opening Ceremony. Right now looks around $150 and I have a SkyTeam USA credit - I might also have to present at a conference the same day, which is

PSU Mudder Dec 7, 2009 11:42 am

From what I've seen while previously checking out BCS bowl flights this year and now trying to book something to MCO for the Citrus bowl, is that the legs getting to the NYD bowl destinations aren't too bad from a price/availability standpoint, it's trying to get home on the 2nd or 3rd, coinciding with general holiday travel that has one in Y/B territory. For the Orange and Fiesta, I would imagine its getting TO the bowls that's problematic, but getting legs home should be cheaper.

And my first revenue segment on SkyTeam USA in 2010 is on a CR1. Can't wait to see if the conference paper is accepted (and they were previously informed that I won't be able to present if my time is after lunch).

Oh yeah. I better remember to disable my ad blocker when I go over to your site so that I can chime in with a few clicks. I know it is only pennies but I also know that every penny helps. :)

I now see why BA was so anti-openskies, now that everyone and their mother fly to LHR, the fortress is falling apart.

BA was doing great when they were the national carrier and were backed by the government. Then they went private and it's been (at best) a rocky road ever since. That's kind of like claiming to be a great driver as long as no one else is on the road.

Nice. Even on my beloved Opie and Anthony show, I hear ads touting BusinessFirst. CO must have done a huge ad buy on Sirius/XM.

Gonna try the paperless boarding pass thing tomorrow. I'm making paper backups just in case, but I wanna see how the BlackBerry bit works.
