Oh good. I would really love to regain my sanity.

Any one besides me also watching HBO - the 25th Anniversary of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame concert?

At the moment Bruce Springsteen and Tom Morello are doing "Ghost of Tom Joad." Great concert.

CM did you just drop the EUA signature line or have I been asleep at the wheel yet again?

I also agree with you that Snider has been in the way of real improvement although neither Clarke nor Holmgren are personnel geniuses. He could have done a lot better than either one of them.

The one Phlyers game I saw this season was when my Devils had a real flat night, so maybe my impression of Philly was an incorrect one, but they did look very sharp against Jersey on Nov. 16th.

Laviolette is exactly, I'm sorry to say, what that team needs. He is not a player-friendly coach, and that locker room has grown complacent. When the media asks the coach if the players are partying too much, that's a mighty loud suggestion that you are not managing the players correctly.

If you were Snider, who would you have gone after to run that team? The only NHL GM who has made a habit of moving around in the last five years or so has been Brian Burke, and to my mind, the only experienced but unemployed GM who is worth a look out there today is Jay Feaster. Snider would not hire Burke because the two personalities are too dominant, and Feaster should have gotten a real good look seeing as how he's practically living in Hershey these days.

I actually liked HP and we know about my almost decade-long campaign against US.

HP was a great airline before its first Chapter 11. They even had free adult beverages in Y along with the free news papers. I still have a pack of playing cards from that era.

Have to agree there, indeed.

And when I get my sanity and memory back, I'll remember those other things I'm supposed to put in here.

And though I started at page 1, is not possible to read the whole thing now.

Not any more. I grew up on a tobacco farm, as did both neighbors on my side of the street and the one across the road. My best friend lived diagonally from our farm and raised horses.

If you're curious about where I was raised, 38°37'43.62"N, 76°33'49.36"W on Google Earth. Doesn't look like it did back then - Google Earth has updated the photos so I can't even see the outline of the private airstrip our neighbor had.
