Tug Hill FTW. More snow than you can shake a  at.
I'm adding it to my "places to move to" list. :D |
In other news and from the file of "why?", local news in CLT is reporting that USeless is commencing year round CLT-FCO. Not sure why as PHL already has, but I suppose that having options is not a bad thing.
Come to think of it, I suppose for the BMI types, a "Y-Up" fare or its ilk on CLT-HNL wouldn't be such a bad thing! either^ |

The US 330s had the first row originally configured as first class flat sleeper seats. But US quickly went to two class and the seats remained. ^
They were among the best airline seats in the world for quite a while and if you were Chairman's Preferred, you could get one without much trouble. I never missed but the HP gang changed that along with a lot of other things that drove many of us away. :td: Now they have announced a reconfiguration of Envoy class in the 330s which will be completed in, get this, 2012. |

Are you on the mind that it was the US-West that ruined US-East? I always thought both were pretty  To me, it all started to go to you know what in a hand basket when the UA-US merger blew up.

I have relatives in Buffalo and have done business in that part of NY in the winter a couple of times since college.
There is never any recollection of that area that does not include snow. These guys in Houston have no idea what 30" of snow is like and it is most likely well beyond their ability to comprehend. :) I walked across Lake Winnipesaukee before it was even fully frozen. I called my mom from the edge of a spring fed area that was not frozen and sent her a pic, she was freaking out :D I'd choose to live in a place that got 30"+ of snow if I could continue my work as normal. |

And it isn't all that bad considering that CO is going to take to the end of 2011 for the 777s and into 2012 for the 752s IIRC. |

Aye. I've been to Quebec City and other snowy locales in winter. There's a difference between seeing lots of snow where it is supposed to be, and watching it bucket down onto banana trees. :D
I like the swiss alps in the winter, I will go back in 2011 for the final year of the universe :D |

I have no use for nor do I any longer at all like snow. I would not care if I never saw another flake. I have had enough of it.
