I'm so ready for us to get HD at our house. It's definitely what part of my annual bonus is going to.

This may be sacrilege here, but with all the miles you probably have I'd buy the TV with miles. :-: That's just how awesome HD is. :-:

Don't use an awl! You want a round hole cut out, not a hole pressed/ripped through. You need to use a leather punch. I suggest finding a shoe repair place. I've had good luck with that -- for free, no less!

I would have though he would use a gun. :-:

I heartily approve of the EWR-HKG (a line I've not gotten, yet). Unfortunately, I detect a hint of hemispheriphobia. :-:

Ayup. :td::-:

The HKG-EWR flight was rough, even in BF. I hope it will be better in a flat bed seat.

Night, Box.

Some fine French grape juice and Ambien made EWR-HKG quite bearable for me, though I do agree that those seats have seen their day.

Men's Journal magazine listed five best beer towns (and recommended where to drink) in it's October 2009 issue:

1. San Diego (go to 30th street in North and South Parks)
2. New York (Brooklyn - Gaffel Kolsch)
3. Portland (Deschutes)
4. Philadelphia (Monk's Cafe)
5. Chicago (Map Room)

A few more decades and my domestic map will catch up with ssullivan's.

In October I'll add at least six new lines to my map.

 No way. Those are for travel.

Believe it or not, I rarely have more than 300,000 miles in my CO account. I average 200,000-300,000 miles redeemed a year, mostly for standard BusinessFirst awards, or domestic first on long-haul routes and odd routings that would cost a fortune if paid for in cash.

hrm, flying to MEM is not a cheap proposition....BNA is $300 less, but 221 miles further...

$100 for a tooooooth....wow. $20 would be tops I would go!

Most I think I ever got was $1-2. But that was the early 1980s, and there's been a lot of inflation since then.

The first tooth my daughter lost gained her $1 bill. She got very upset because the book we were reading, about the tooth fairy, said that she gave out bright, shiny coins. So every tooth from that point on got a dollar coin.

I did read about a mother that was tired of fighting the increasing cost of lost teeth, so she started to give out foreign coins. Her children loved them and would plot out, on a map, the locations the coins came from. That's where the tooth fairy had been to prior to visiting them.

I tried to catch the Easter bunny/Santa/tooth fairy. All three went on strike as the risks of tetanus, stitches and foot injuries increased.
