Aren't you finding less and less places that have active wired ethernet? And if they do, don't a lot of them still want to get paid?
Paid connections seem to be pretty universal for full service properties. But, since most of my travel is for work, paid Internet in hotels gets put on my expense report and reimbursed. |

I used wired in the AF ZRH Lounge last weekend because the WiFi had a charge (wired didn't). I didn't know my netbook had a RJ45 port until discovering the fee to use wireless ...

More seriously, I'm still in the "refuses to pay for internet" mode. I will tether through my 4.5 year old Blackberry before paying for internet. |
Night, Box. Gonna go read myself to sleep.

I'll be heading out in a few minutes as well - 14.5 hours at work (after showering at work due to plumbing) and facing a soon-to-be-chasm in my yard is exhausting.

Like the hair on the top of my head? I cut my hair close for a reason ;) And I do it myself - received a haircut so bad in 2003 that I learned to do it myself. Side benefit is it saves $20 a month and the trip to the barber shop.
I am way overdue for both a trim & color -- don't mind spending it for the cut -- been going to the same stylist in NYC pretty much since 1983! The color is a bigger deal -- but am letting it go 'natural' for a while -- until I can't stand the gray! Was going to actually cut my hair shorter until prospective beau stated that he loves long hair! Am so happy that work is picking up -- needing to make the $ to pay the big cc bills from upcoming trips!!:cool: Was chatting on FB w/my bro in Stuttgart -- turns out we'll be in LA for the same w/end in Dec! He said the fares to the US dropped after the accident at the airport in Stuttgart. |

Part of my problem, I'm sure, is my machine: an old-ish Thinkpad.
When I got my card, I asked Sprint about lost/whacked insurance (that pays for itself on my cell phone every year, it seems), but they didn't have it to offer. Hope you find your card before you next time out. |

You don't get upcharged for tethering? I looked into it even though I don't have too much of a justifiable need for it, and VZW wants another $15/month for the ability to tether.

Night, B:rolleyes:X & sweet dreams all!:-:

Sigh. Just booked AUS-DEN-AUS on F9 (2hrs each way) because I just don't have enough time to spend making the jaunt down to IAH and changing planes (4.5hrs each way). Even with DEQM. I'm so depressed. ;)
Goodnight, box. |

I only tether a BlackBerry to the laptop when there's no other option. I don't like paying, but I still do it. At least I get reimbursed most of the time for it, so it's not such a big deal. The only time I really complain about the charges are in cases where there is a charge and the connection is especially slow. The Marriott and Sheraton in Baton Rouge are both bad about that — SLOW connections, and $9.99/day.
